I still have moments where I look at one of my candles and think, “I made this.”

It probably sounds silly, but seeing an idea I started in 2019 turn into something that people can light in their homes is a feeling I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of. 🤍

🤍 MEET THE CANDLE MAKER 🤍

Hi darlings! My name is Irene and I am the founder of Abeille Bliss. I’m 40, Dominican, and was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I now reside in Newport News, Virginia but planning to move out of the city soon!

I’m a mom of two, a son who is 15 and a daughter who is 20. I love all pink girly things, baking, cooking, shopping for home decor and trying new restaurants. I used to want to be a food influencer because I enjoy trying new foods so much. (I may still do this!)

I started Abeille Bliss in 2019 after burning a major company’s candle and it gave me headaches like crazy. (It starts with a B but who is asking?) I also wanted to create something that was elegant, simple and intentional. My vision was to see my candles in beautiful homes and I’ve accomplished that by seeing so many of my customers sharing their candles in their homes! I’ve been featured in Vogue twice in 2020-2021 and mentioned by a few celebrities.

This brand is personal to me because it allows me to connect with people and share my love of candles in a way that feels meaningful. My hope is that when you’re here, you feel peace, elegance, and inspiration to elevate yourself and the spaces around you.

I decided to bring my square candles back, but this time it comes from a place of real clarity. Stepping away showed me how much fear I was carrying.

Fear of failing. Fear of succeeding. Fear of not being enough, or being too much. I had to sit with all of it before I could move forward again.

These candles have always felt like a piece of me, and choosing to return to them is choosing to trust myself again.
