🎉This April, we’re celebrating 10 years of leadership from Jeff Symens, General Manager & CEO of Valley Telecommunications and Valley FiberCom.
Jeff’s telecom career started from the ground up — literally. He began on a plow crew in North Dakota and worked his way through several roles over the years, including outside plant, operations, plant management, and leadership positions before joining Valley in 2016.
Since then, Jeff has helped lead Valley through a season of growth, change, and expansion, always keeping long-term service, great customer service, strong infrastructure, and our local communities at the center of his work.
Those who work with Jeff know he’s a quiet leader who truly knows his stuff. He’s thoughtful, steady, and passionate about the work we do.
When asked what part of his day-to-day work makes him feel like he’s making a difference, Jeff said the most enjoyable parts of his job are the ones that help make customers’ lives better, whether that’s through fiber-based broadband services or other services that make life easier. He also shared how much he values working alongside Valley employees who share a passion for delivering great service, making Valley a great place to work, and building the workmate relationships he treasures most.
We’re grateful for Jeff’s leadership, vision, and dedication over the past 10 years.
