North McHenry tower site is down again! ComEd is on site dealing with power lines or trees rubbing against them on fire. This is the same area that caused the outage last week. If they would only fix it right! It would also be nice if they would post it on their outage map!

Paramount + chooses not to allow clients to select a lower resolution. I'm going to keep press on them. i'll keep you all posted.

My comment on this post asked them why. Doesn't look like it came with the repost.

CALLING ALL PARAMOUNT PLUS SUBSCRIBERS! Please reach out to us regarding your experience with streaming Paramount Plus. The first issue hit my desk 12/22 regarding error messages and buffering. I tried to watch movie on the 24th and experienced buffering.

It was obvious the stream was 4k. I have enough speed to accommodate 4k, yet it was still buffering. I looked all over the application for a way to scale resolution, like Netflix and Prime allow. No dice!!! I chatted with them only to get bad information.

Today, I called and was told they do not have that capability. Seems like a stupid corporate decision. Retain customers who have lower bandwidth connections and lower their own demand for bandwidth and associated costs. A win win for all involved.

So to all of you having problems with Paramount Plus, don't waste your time with their Chat Bot. Call 888-274-5343 and ask them how to reduce the video resolution to full HD-1080. When they say they can't, make sure you let them know this will affect retention of their services.
