At Sustainable Junk Solutions, we provide fast, affordable junk removal with a focus on recycling, reusing, and reducing waste.

From old furniture and household items to garage and attic clean-outs, we’re here to make your life stress-free.

10/07/2026

One of this week’s bigger jobs was a full one-bay garage cleanout, along with a couple of refrigerators that had to come up from the basement.

One of our favorite finds was an antique desk designed to hold a typewriter! We always love coming across unique pieces that someone no longer has a use for and finding a way to keep them out of the landfill.

Quite a few items from this clean out, including the furniture, were able to be saved from being dumped. We’ll also be scrapping the refrigerators and properly disposing of the leftover paint and chemicals rather than sending everything straight to the landfill.

That’s a big part of what makes Sustainable Junk Solutions different. We don’t just load everything up and dump it. Whenever possible, we take the extra time to sort, reuse, recycle, and responsibly dispose of what we collect. ♻️🌎

📚 Out with the old, in with the new!

This week, I had the opportunity to help our local Friends of the Library group move approximately 75 boxes of books out of the library to make room for new books coming in.

It always feels good to use what we do at Sustainable Junk Solutions to help our community in a way that makes an impact.

Even better, these books aren’t going to waste. They’ll be part of the Friends of the Library book sale, with all proceeds going right back to the Wabash library!

We’re proud to support our community, give items a second life whenever possible, and help make room for what’s next. ♻️📚

And please come shop the book sale November 6th-7th at the Wabash Christian Church!

This week’s challenge: hot tub removal! 💪

After more than 30 years of use, this hot tub was officially out of commission and ready to go. Since moving it in one piece wasn’t an option, our crew got to work cutting it down into manageable sections.

It took three of us about two hours of sawing, lifting, and hauling, but the job is done and this space is now cleared and ready to become a brand new patio for a local homeowner!

Have a large, bulky item you’re not sure how to get rid of? We’ll find a way. From hot tubs and furniture to full cleanouts, we’re ready to tackle the jobs you don’t want to.

🤝 Local businesses supporting local businesses!

We recently had the opportunity to team up with Splinters, a local hardwood flooring business, on a floor tear out project. They handled the flooring work, and we came in to haul away all the old flooring and debris, making cleanup one less thing to worry about.

Collaborations like this are what small-town business is all about.

💪 When local companies work together, the job gets done faster, smoother, and keeps money right here in our community.
If you’re a contractor, flooring installer, remodeler, or another local business that needs a reliable crew to handle tear out debris and haul away, we’d love to work with you!

And a big thanks to Splinters for trusting us with the cleanup! 🏠♻️

🔥 This week's shoutout goes to our amazing customers!

We've had several pickups this week where everything was already gathered into one neat pile before we arrived. In this summer heat, that saves us so much time and energy, and we truly appreciate it more than you know!

Here's the best part: when your junk is ready to go, you save money.

Because we're able to load faster and get back on the road sooner, we pass those savings on to you. It's a win-win!

Whether it's a few random items, garage cleanout, furniture, or household clutter, we'll haul it away and we do our best to donate, recycle, and keep as much out of the landfill as possible.

Thank you for supporting a local, sustainable junk removal business. We appreciate every single customer! 💚

This week we helped clear out leftover items from a rental property. The items were already piled together in the garage, making the job faster and more efficient.

💰Did you know we offer discounts when your items are organized and ready for pickup? It helps reduce labor time so we like to pass those savings along to the customers!

Unfortunately, most of this load wasn't salvageable and had to be disposed of properly. However, we were able to save a couple of chairs and a small end table from the landfill.

♻️ Every item we can reuse, donate, or repurpose helps reduce waste and supports our mission of providing sustainable junk removal services. Thanks for choosing the greener way to clear clutter!

It’s always stressful when dealing with the passing of a loved one. This week we were able to lighten the load for someone else by hauling away an entire house worth of items that were left behind.

We were also able to save around 40 pieces of furniture and many smaller items from the landfill which is always a win for us.

Let us help make your life a little less stressful when dealing with major life changes. Call today for a free estimate!

At Sustainable Junk Solutions, we believe junk removal should be sustainable, not wasteful. Instead of dumping everything into the landfill, we work hard to donate, recycle, and repurpose as much as possible.
This week alone, we saved the following items from ending up in the landfill:

🪵 1 Large pile of Lumber🛏️ 1 bed frame
📺 1 TV stand
2 dressers 2 hutches
2 nightstands

Every item we rescue helps reduce waste and gives usable materials a second life. When you hire us, you’re choosing an eco-friendly junk removal company that cares about the community and the environment.

I had the privilege of removing about 50 old windows from a house right here in Wabash! These windows were taking up space for a long time in the basement and now the homeowner has a usable space.

Sustainable Junk Solutions is dedicated to saving items from the landfill even if it means extra work for us. I was able to get these windows to a lady in Greentown so she can use them to build her dream greenhouse! It is so satisfying knowing that these windows will get a new life helping someone fulfill their dream.
