Sewing over thick seams or multiple layers? Place a scrap of fabric or cardstock under the back of your presser foot to keep it level. Smooth stitching ahead!

Always turn the handwheel toward you (counterclockwise).
Never turn it backward (clockwise).
Why?
Turning it the wrong way can tangle thread, jam the machine, or knock the timing out of sync.
