We have a few comments In response to the recent PETA, animal rights activists and domestic terrorists group attack.
First and foremost this is a 100% legal sale regulated by USDA and NCDAS.
We do not, and never have condoned mistreatment or abuse of animals.
All of the cages and pens that housed animals during the sale met all USDA regulations.
Opposite of what was shared many animals are most safely and humanely handled by the base of the tail to avoid injuring more fragile limbs.
Contrary to their statement, a veterinarian was on site, just outside of the stall when the zedonks hoof was being released. Just after this video he is moved to a different stall where he was examined and monitored until the owner was contacted and consulted with. The lameness was still apparent but less pronounced when he was loaded to go to his new home and was to receive additional vet care there as needed. A follow up with the new owner has revealed that he has fully recovered.
Scimitar horned oryx were once extinct in the wild, but through captive breeding now thrive here in the US where it is estimated 15,000-20,000 exist and many have been sent back to their native land in Africa from here in the United States.
Lastly, PETA is against animal ownership as a whole and their ultimate goal is to take away your dogs, cats or any other cherished pets you may have. They kill over 90% of the animals they steal or take in. They do however care about getting your money and don’t mind sacrificing animals to do so. You don’t have to take our word for it though. I encourage you to do your own research on PETA. I will post just a few articles in the comments.
