INDUSTRY NOTICE

IT'S TIME TO CONDUCT YOUR
ANNUAL COMPLIANCE REPORT

To: Holders of BW, BB, BC, BE, BF, BG, BQ, D, G, MB, N, NB, NE, P, Q, W, and X licenses and permits

Re: Required compliance reporting for TABC-licensed businesses with Texas locations has started

What: You are required to conduct a compliance report (i.e., self-inspection) for each of your licensed/permitted locations in Texas. The report requires your business to answer a series of questions about its operations and take certain photos at its premises to confirm it is following applicable

*EXCEPTION: For holders of any primary license/permit that is accompanied by a combination of subordinates and/or certificates as displayed in the table below, you may NOT begin your compliance report on January 1. Instead, we will contact you later in 2026 and will provide you with a different reporting period.

Permit combinations that begin their report(s) on a later date
P + LP
BG + BP + E
BG + E
BG + BP + FB + E
BG + FB +E
BG + BP + LH + E
BG + LH + E
BG + BP + FB + LH + E
BG + FB + LH + E
BW + SD
If you hold a P, BG, or BW by itself (without the above combination of subordinates and/or certificates), you are still required to file your compliance report . It is only if you have one of the above combinations that you will begin your reports at a later date that TABC will provide you. For example, a Package Store Permit (P) without an LP must file their report , as will the holder of a BG that doesn’t have any subordinates or certificates.
How: Conduct your compliance report by using the Alcohol Industry Management System (AIMS) on your mobile device.

Filing a compliance report

When you or your designee are ready to begin conducting your compliance report at your licensed/permitted location:

Grab your mobile device, open either the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge web browser app, and log in to AIMS (AIMS will not work on other web browsers). You can download either of these web browsers for free from your mobile device’s app store.
Select the business entity for which you’re filing a compliance report.
From the entity’s dashboard, click the Compliance Reporting button.
Select the reporting year 2026.
Answer the questions and upload the required photos when prompted.

Watch the How to File a Compliance Report video to see this process in action.

You must submit a compliance report for each of your licensed/permitted locations in Texas. Failure to timely file your report(s) could result in a visit from a TABC representative, an administrative warning, delayed renewal, and other consequences.

Additional help

Set up an AIMS account: If you need to set up an AIMS account or need help using AIMS, visit our How To Use AIMS page.

Designate others to file a compliance report on your behalf: If you are the Prime or Administrator user for the business’s AIMS account, you can designate other persons to complete the compliance report on your behalf. To do this, you must log in to your AIMS account and grant Compliance Reporting user permissions. Watch this video to learn how.

Make sure required signs are posted at your location: your business must display its licenses/permits and other required signs. Failure to do so is a common area of non-compliance.

Print your licenses/permits from your AIMS account.
Review and print your required signs at TABC’s Sign Requirements.
