Parenting… probably most of us can agree is our hardest yet most rewarding part of our lives. No matter the season of life you are in the 5 “C’s” of Parenting can help guide you to being a more successful parent and person in the world around you. 1. Self-control: learning to manage your own feelings first, so you can act effectively and teach your child to do the same. 2. Compassion: meet your child where they are not where you expect them to be. Expectations can be dangerous when it comes to any relationship. 3. Collaboration: work together with your child and your spouse or coparent and find solutions to daily challenges instead of imposing your rules on them, and expecting them to be able to abide by those rolls without any kind of explanation on why you have those rules. 4. Consistency: do and mean what you say stick to your guns when needed and repeat on a daily basis. Don’t make promises or threats you can’t keep. 5. Celebration: acknowledge what’s working and do more of it day after day will slowly get easier, celebrate the small successes and teach your child to pick out those small successes in your daily life in routine.

Thumbs up! Sometimes it’s necessary to celebrate the little successes…. We made it to the weekend! What’s one goal you have set for yourself this weekend? I’m going to get caught up with laundry and housework… prioritizing my work, business, and personal tasks have really helped me feel more accomplished even during the chaotic times. Just knowing that I’m completely all the necessary tasks and leaving the rest until later.
