3rd Annual Santa Paws!

Guess who is coming out of retirement this weekend? ME and it is for the shelter babies! I know, It sounds ridiculous. I did photography 10 years and retired. I promise I did not retire off of my photographers salary. I am taking a much needed break to conquer the battle of higher education. I am fortunate to have a husband that works his butt off in the oilfield while I work part time at the Wagoner Chamber of Commerce and attend school full time. Next semester I am taking 15 hours, Jesus take the wheel! Look for more landscape photography from me in the future. I am only going to be doing projects that help me relax, are fun or are for a good cause for the time being. I am not currently taking clients for hire. I simply to not have time for the editing obligations that comes along with paid sessions.

***THE IMPORTANT STUFF***

Sunday afternoon come see us at the Wagoner Show Barn from 12-4pm. Dixie's Cafe will be there to serve you some delicious lunch and Frigid Whips will be there for the dessert.

Pictures are $6.00. You will receive a 4x6 in the mail or by hand delivery on Monday. Digital images will also be posted on facebook so you can show your cutie off!

Why do we not give you prints instantly like Bass Pro or other organizations? Well, because I am an artist. If I give you an image that I could have cropped or improved with Photoshop I will puke. Not only do you get the image in print form you get an electronic copy to print and share over, and over and over.

Why is spending $6.00 on a picture worth it?

Because there are hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dogs that are dumped and unwanted in Wagoner Oklahoma. Are they our responsibility? No, they are not. However, THEIR LIVES MATTER. It is not their fault they are in the situation they are in.

These precious souls are left fend for themselves in the heat of summer and the cold of winter. If they are lucky enough they find Bo Henson or Tall Tails Rescue they will find a fur-ever home.

Ya'll, yes I am bringing out my Okie plea! The amount of dogs that are dumped or go unclaimed in this town is sickening. Your $6 will contribute to spaying, neutering, vetting and feeding these babies who deserve to be adopted into a home that will give them the life they deserve. Please help us, help the shelter babes!

Ok, I have a confession. I am NOT a logo or watermark on my photos kinda gal. I HATE text on photos. If you really know me, you know I have felt this way for many, many years. I also HATE/LOATHE taking scissors to a physical photograph (that is an entire different story and my teenage self was a photo cutter and my Aunt Sissy is a scrapbooker so yeah) Anyway, I am getting off subject already. Back to my initial point. I am guilty of putting it on the digital image if a client requests it or if it's a landscape scene that COULD possibly end up on google images (in my wildest dreams), a silly meme, or a hilarious candid that deserves a caption for the rest of the photo's existence. I just feel it is an added distraction. If it wasn't there when I took the picture, it doesn't belong there. It does not belong in the art and story I am trying to portray. I hope my clients will give me credit, but if they don't I am not going to throw a hissy fit. They paid me to take their pictures, the photos are just as much theirs as they are mine. I just had to see what my new logo/watermark looked like on an image. Confession numero uno (I failed Spanish): I am still madly in love with the logo/watermark I created for myself in memory of my Lou Lou aka "the grandma that always had a camera". Confession numero dos: THIS WATERMARK IS SO DISTRACTING from this adorable almost two year old that kindly sat in my suitcase in a tutu and posed like a sweetheart. PS: This is no shame to ANY photographers. Do you boo boo. This is seriously just personal preference and personal OCD.

The time has come! I will be starting school again one week from today! I am nervous, I am excited but I am closer than I was last August when this all began. Of course I am still taking sessions, but appointment availabilty will be limited to about one session a week and I will take four appointments for fall foliage. If you are a past client of course I will try and work you in no matter what. Wish me luck! I am on a mission and I am working my brain off to complete it.

To inquire about a session call or text 9183044935. I check private message about once a week and facebook doesn't tell me when I get new message so I don't see it until I log in. Thanks guys!

My sister, cousin and aunt are all getting a tattoo in honor of my great grandmother that passed away last October. I don't do tattoos and Lou Lou did not like tattoos so I am not getting one. I did however decide on a logo after all these years. In honor of my great grandmother Mary Louise Hatfield the grandma who always had a camera. I give you my new logo. I love you, I miss you and I will always carry you with me.
