Job description:
Theatrix Hawaii is a production companies in Hawaii. As a company we offer Lighting, Audio, Video, Rigging, Staging, & More.
We are seeking a Lighting Designer (LD). Applicant must be a Skilled Lighting Technician with extensive programming of various lighting consoles. The majority of our business is corporate and concerts.
MUST BE ABLE TO OPERATE MA GRANDMA 2/3 CONSOLE & HES HOG 4 CONSOLE
Security Clearance is required since we work on military bases.
Driver’s License Is required for transportation to jobs and meetings.
Pay is based on experience.
Annual Compensation - $100,000 to $120,000 based on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Qualified Lighting Designer - Required experience:
• Extensive experience on consoles: 5 years
• Manage a crew for setup and strike of lights.
• Must be able to cable and troubleshoot a lighting rig.
• Power distribution & load calculations.
• Must be able create light plots with Vectorworks or similar.
• Calm under pressure!
We are looking for an EXPERIENCED Technician!

OAHU - Are you looking for part-time/on-call work?! Let me know! WE DO HAVE SHIFTS AS EARLY AS MAY 17th!!
Theatrix Hawaii, is looking to hire a few hard working General Laborers, Cube Truck Drivers, Audio, Lighting and Video technicians to join our team on a part-time/on-call basis! Fast paced, fun environment working on corporate and entertainment events along with local and mainland artist coming to Hawaii to put on concerts. Individuals will be involved in the set-up, show, and break downs for various gigs - prepping equipment for events, rentals, and a variety of other duties as assigned.
The right candidate must:
- Have a valid driver's license & clean abstract
- Be able to lift, push, pull 50lbs or more
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Fork lift experience preferred
- Be self-motivated
- Dependable
- Work well with others
- Possess a positive attitude while on the job
VIDEO DEPARTMENT LOOKING FOR: Audio Visual Tech. with experience in conference breakout, general session type AV. Experience in projection, presentations, digital displays, LED walls, networking, keynote, power point, customer service, and general knowledge of audio visual equipment. Convention experience is a plus.
AUDIO DEPARTMENT LOOKING FOR: Has knowledge of all things Audio. Can undoubtedly do every single job required in audio world. Can lead a team during a show and be in charge of putting up PA and Aiming. This person can work well with others and be able to take instructions from a Technical Director.
LIGHTING DEPARTMENT LOOKING FOR: Tech must have knowledge of how to set-up lighting gear on-site.
Working knowledge of running a lighting board would be an added bonus. Must be able to take directions and be a problem solver.
Starting pay is $25+ per hour depending on experience.
