Hey, Hey, Hey!!! I hope you all have been doing well. I’ve missed seeing your faces for sure!

Warning: Long-winded post, sorry in advance, lol

I had my nails done yesterday. I told my girl, T, that does my nails what I wanted and let her pick the color. (Isn’t that funny her name is T too? Lol!) She picked the color “Bare My Soul”. Ironically, that has been the theme for me this week and I wanted to share my future plans with all of my people..

I love what I do as a stylist, a colorist, and an entrepreneur. Making people feel good about themselves, improving their self confidence, being a friend and confidant, and growing together as we have embarked on marriage, kids, and dealt with all of life’s curveballs has meant more to me than you could ever know. Most of you reading this post I have know for 10, 15, 20 years plus. I can’t thank you enough for your loyalty to me as your stylist and friend for all of these years.

After weeks and even years of tug of war in my head and my heart, I have finally decided that the time has come to move out from behind the chair and I will not be reopening my salon. I have given everything to everyone, my whole heart, and soul for all of my adult life. That’s who I am and always will be but it has taken its toll on me personally and I realize I have got to put myself first because I was not at my best working and living the way that I was. I don’t know exactly how this story will play out but I do know there’s something else out there calling me in this world. I hope to stay within my industry, the beauty industry is one of the most rewarding for sure. My goal is to move back into education and sales because that makes my nerdy science brain happy teaching stylists/salon owners about the chemistry and technology behind what we do. Who knows what will be....but y’all know how my crazy brain works, lol!

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for being my people! I hope to stay connected and see you all once the world resumes somewhat of some normalcy. I’m always a call/text away, ok let’s be real, text...I don’t answer my phone. 🤣 Coffee dates are a must and I’m always down for wine or cocktails. (Anytime after 10am is perfectly acceptable.)

Sweet Clients and Friends,

I am sad to announce that after a very difficult few weeks, I have made the decision to temporarily close. The uncertainty of Covid-19 and my children’s education for this school year have ultimately made this a very easy decision for my family. I want to provide my clients with a safe environment and with the mandates and guidelines set forth by the state and cosmetic arts board, it is very difficult to provide services to my customers at this time.

I am attaching a document with a list of AMAZING referrals and will happily share formulas and techniques if necessary. As soon as we can find a new sense of normalcy and my kids can safely return to school I will share updates on reopening.

Stay well and healthy! I will miss seeing you!

Y’all...I am pure whooped. These days coming back to work have been super long and tiring.....BUT......I am so overwhelmed with the love, gratitude, and appreciation I have felt from you since opening back up last Thursday. The 10+ hour days are so worth it when I get to spend it with my amazing clients. THANK YOU, THANK YOU for being my people and just plain awesome!!!! 🥰🥰🥰

Just wanted to say THANK YOU to all of my people for making this rebooking process so smooth and easy. I’m not going to lie, I was super anxious about it. Thank you for embracing the new online booking system and being so kind and patient with me as I’ve navigated through the unknowns.

Woohoo!!! So excited we can officially open!!!! HOWEVER....I will not be reopening at 5:01pm on Friday, lol. My family and I spend the holiday weekend at the Lake every year and this will be my last hoorah before I dive back in deep to work. Stay tuned tomorrow as I will be emailing/texting updated information on my Grand Re-Opening and how to schedule. CAN.NOT.WAIT!

Sounds like Governor Cooper will make his official announcement for Phase 2 in about an hour. Please know that once that announcement has been made, I still will not be able to move forward with my official opening date until I receive communication from the Cosmetic Arts Board. I’m certain I will need more than 2 days to set up to be compliant with the state and to keep all of my people safe. I am currently shooting for a June 1st reopening date.

I miss you all dearly and am just as anxious as you are to get back behind the chair and catch up. I will post and send a mass text/email message with updates once I know how to proceed.
