This was such an epic moment for me…winning the NextTech award in the Technology Professional category across the state of NC and being featured in the June edition of the North Carolina Business magazine! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Around the same time, I was promoted to Sr. Director of Systems Engineering at my company.

Let me tell you I am checking things off my list and that C-Level spot with a minimum base salary of $300k is well within my reach!!

Despite the fact that women are typically more relational than men…they have the harder time networking for purposes of career growth.

According to Carol Bratz, former CEO of Yahoo and Lisa Lambert, founder of UPWARD…”one very practical issue contributing to statistics like these is that women spend too much time doing and less time networking”.

Today, only 26 women are in CEO roles at Fortune 500 companies, making up 5.2% of the female population…5.4% in Fortune 1000 companies, according to Pew Research.
