Termites and carpenter ants are swarming, do you know the dangerous difference?
Termites have cream colored, light brown, or translucent straight and even bodies with straight antennae, and wings that are equal in size that overlap. These wings can be discarded after swarms by infestation sites.
Carpenter ants have dark brown or black bodies that are pinched at the waist, with elbowed (bent) antennae, and a pair of wings that are longer in the front, shorter in the back. Not all carpenter ants have wings, and come in different sizes.
