NEWSPAPER: MEMBER OF KINGSMEN ORDERED SHOT
Investigators believe Marc "Knot Head" Knotts ordered other members of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club to shoot a member of the Kingsmen MC last month.
The incident occurred just outside the Circle K gas station in Leesburg, Florida. A report in the Orlando Sentinel alleges "Outlaws Motorcycle Club members forced" Donovan "to his knees" and shot the Kingsmen member "in the back" when he refused to remove his club colors.
Police called the shooting "a coordinated attack."
Donovan died as a result of the shooting. Six different law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, are investigating the homicide and other biker violence in the Sunshine State.
According to police, “The ‘Outlaws’ had been challenging several motorcycle clubs throughout Florida to either join their ranks or submit to their authority."
"We witnessed similar incidents in Milwaukee in the 1970s and early 1980s," said retired Milwaukee Police Department Homicide Lieutenant Steve Spingola. "The Outlaws demanded the Heaven's Devils drop their club's patch. When they refused, the ongoing feud took eleven lives. In Florida, the feds are getting involved early and will likely use sweeping racketeering statutes to compel testimony."
