This is something I have been thinking a lot about in the last few years. Wasserman articulated it so well. We look at most of the "giving" in this country from a formal lens vs. an informal and generosity lens.

"The container we keep counting is shrinking, but the behavior underneath it — the impulse to pool small amounts of money around a cause and a community in real time — is not contracting at all."

Thanks for sharing your thoughts here. We need to change the conversation and talk about giving to philanthropy in a different way.

Giving USA reports a $617.2B record, but new digital channels are reshaping philanthropy in ways traditional metrics can't capture.

That’s a wrap! Ch*****ne Friday with friends to end a great week and my final presentation of the conference circuit (Nonprofit Association of Washington, AFP Advancement NW, and Central Washington Nonprofit Network). Grateful to present with Bianchi, CFRE and Kirk my Cloudbreak Collective team members over the last month. Loved seeing some of my clients and friends I have only seen in the Zoom room 🩷. I get to do incredible work with amazing people and organizations taking care of our communities. Fundraising is your job. Fundraising is my job. Fundraising is our job.
