Both of these pages have said that they deliver firewood out of our yard. Today, we had one of these pages not only use our address, but our name as well.
Just to be clear, this is our ONLY page. We do not have any other social media accounts.
If you want to know if you are associating with a scammer, here are some ways to know.
WE DO NOT TAKE ANY OTHER PAYMENT BESIDES CASH. If they are asking for payment in advance (Zelle, Cash App, Paypal, any other mobile banking) it’s probably a scam.
WE DONT DELIVER. Both of these accounts have promised delivery. We do not deliver. If they are using our name or 4425 West Mountain View Drive as their base of operation, it’s a scam.
CHECK THEIR E-MAIL NAME. If their email has a lot of random letters and numbers, it’s probably a throwaway email.
CHECK THEIR FOLLOWERS. Both of the scam accounts shown have thousands of followers. If you click on their follower numbers, you will probably see something like picture 4. Those are all fake profiles (bot accounts) that make the page seem real. If they have those bots, it’s a scam account.
CHECK THEIR POSTED PHOTOS. On both pages every photo is from a different firewood yard.
Remember to always stay vigilant for these scams and be safe.
