Minerva Biotechnologies Announces Oral Presentation of “First-In-Human CAR T for Solid Tumors that Targets the MUC1 Transmembrane Cleavage Product,” at 2019 American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy (ASGCT) Meeting in Washington, DC

Minerva Biotechnologies’ CEO Dr. Cynthia Bamdad will present at this year’s Annual meeting of the American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy (ASGCT). Dr. Bamdad’s talk will describe Minerva’s 1st-in-human CAR T for solid tumors; clinical trials are expected to begin Q3/Q4 2019 at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. This novel CAR T targets a cancer specific, membrane-bound cleavage product of MUC1, that we discovered and named MUC1* (muk 1 star). Others may refer to this Minerva discovery as MUC1-C. Additionally, Dr. Bamdad will preview Minerva’s Next-Gen CAR Ts.
