No, your refrigerator did NOT suddenly develop an Antarctica setting. 😂

This amount of ice is a symptom that something isn’t operating correctly.

Heavy frost/ice can interfere with airflow and eventually create cooling problems. Chipping away what you can see doesn’t tell you why it happened in the first place.

A bad fan isn't always a bad fan... until you prove it.

In this refrigerator, we tested the evaporator fan motor and confirmed it was receiving a full 120 volts. When the proper voltage is present but the motor still won't run, the diagnosis becomes much clearer.
That's why testing always comes before replacing parts.

Should we? Not always.
