The Warner Robins Police Department would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year's Eve!

Just a few safety reminders:
🎆 Be safe when handling fireworks and sparklers
❌ No drinking and driving
⏰ Be mindful of noise ordinances and Georgia State Law concerning fireworks and how they may affect your neighbors or veterans suffering from PTSD
🐶🐱Secure pets inside for their safety

Per Georgia state law, it is legal to use consumer fireworks on New Year's Eve (December 31st) from 10am until 1am on New Year's Day (January 1st). While Georgia state law permits this, local ordinances may have stricter rules, but the Warner Robins Police Department defers to state law for this specific holiday. Fireworks are prohibited within 100 yards of hospitals, nursing homes, gas stations, electric plants, and airports. Fireworks cannot be used on public roads, highways, or public property.

** Do backgrounds on your new hires**
Things that happen when we get called in to do a internal theft investigation is we find the person of interest had prior arrests. Unfortunately, the company was not aware.
Before hiring, do a background!!
The process is simple and we can have the results back to you with a short turn-around time.

Just as an example, I received results for someone applying for a cleaning company. This candidate would have been going into people's homes to clean around their personal belongings. The candidate was currently on probation for theft and had several other prior arrests. This company did the background to protect their customers.

Do your due diligence to protect your company and its reputation. It may not always stop internal theft but it is a easy step to lowering your risk.
$35.00 for the state of Georgia.
