Just putting this post out there to update our feed to Shadow Mountain Vineyards & Winery followers! The commercial listing for the vineyard & winery on VineSmart. You can type our street address into your favorite residential MLS listing to find it too.

Please help to share so we can find the right buyer(s)!

We’re very sad we’re not there today to pour you amazing wines and set you up for the right holiday pairings, but check the website regarding online orders (pickups and shipments will resume around December 16th)!

To our colleagues, neighbors, Wine Club Members and friends on Facebook and Instagram:
Back in August, we sent emails, texts, and posts to our family, friends, customers, and club members. If you are connected in any way to us, please take the time to read the details.
We have made the extremely painful decision to sell the property and winery business.
As some of you know, we have a challenging family situation back in the Midwest, and we will be exiting the business upon sale of the winery. The closure of the tasting room is expected to continue for the duration, until after new ownership are in place.
In the interim, we plan to keep all virtual aspects of the business going, specifically the website for online orders for shipping or pick up by advance appointment. We will NOT process any further automated Wine Club packages, and have contacted the very few Club Members who have yet to pick up their Q2 wines.
We are turning off commenting on our social media but will keep Messaging open, the winery phone/text, as well as the Info and Club emails and the webchat, to address specific questions about the website or Wine Club, but we will not be responding to other requests, and if you are interested in purchasing the property (or have an interested client), please call or email us.
Given our 26-year history with Shadow Mountain, please know that this decision is gut-wrenching, but we have to do the right thing - for our family, ourselves, and for what should continue to be an ongoing legacy of an amazing place, people, grapes, and wine.
Thank you for all of your support, friendship, and for sharing your love of the vineyard and the wines these past few years.

It’s a beautiful, hot weekend in . Just a reminder that we are closed for remodeling. All online platforms should show that we are temporarily closed, and the winery voicemail says the same.

OR - Visit our website to place an order and read the instructions for making an advance appointment for pick up after you purchase. We can ship your order if you purchase it online, but until this heat wave abates, we wouldn’t risk damaging the wine.

Also, Check the North Mountain Wine Trail for what’s happening at Emerald Creek Winery, Hawk Watch Winery, Sierra Roble Winery, and call Tony at La Serenissima Vineyards and Winery.

We have to share...the great news! Although we're always "going for the gold", the 2025 OC Fair Commercial Wine Competition ( Orange County Wine Society ) awarded 4 Silver Medals and 1 Bronze Medal to the wines we submitted.

Check out which wines won the medals, then visit our website to order wines to be shipped to you...along with all our other Gold Medal wines: the 2021 Nebbiolo ( ), the Non-Vintage Old Gus Red Blend (a double gold medal from SommCon 2024), the 2018 Variation 3 "Bordeaux Style" Red Blend, and the 2019 Malbec (which has won 2 Golds and 5 Silvers so far!).

Also throw in some silver medal Merlot, the Platinum Medal-winning 2017 Syrah, or some Silver medal 2021 Sauvignon Blanc and you've got a whole award-winning 12-bottle case...at an additional 10% off!

A HUGE thank you to all of the first-time visitors, returning customers, neighbors, and Wine Club Members who came out for the Wine & Art Trail event this weekend! We had tons of excellent art, amazing artists, fantastic musicians, tasty snacks, and perfect weather! Vince Mendoza, Michael Cooper, Slim Semora - The one man Texas Band, and all of the Warner Springs Artisan Guild Artists!

We are happy this was such a well-attended event (and thank you for all of the compliments), but sad we won’t see you for a while as we navigate the tasting room remodel and a bit of time off before harvest later this summer, but the wine remains available through the website with shipping or appointments for pickup, and we may drop some specials or figure out a remote tasting or pop-up along the way.

In a pinch, we have wine at Garage 79 and Don's Market in Santa Ysabel!
