We are back at to help make your confectionary creations a breeze!

Let's talk about how to create an easy release from your molds.

We've all been there - created a masterpiece, inverted the mold, and the chocolate just doesn't want to come out. Or worse, it comes out, but bits and pieces are stuck to the mold, ruining the entire project. ☚ī¸

Thankfully, our molds are created with a special patent to assist with an easy and smooth release, but there are other things you can do to ensure success as well.

First, make sure the molds are clean and dry prior to starting your project.
Second, tap out all the air bubbles.
Then, place the mold in the fridge or freezer for a few extra minutes to guarantee the chocolate is solid all the way through. Larger pieces will require more time, smaller pieces will require less.

Don't force it.
If you invert the mold, light pressure in the center of the cavity should allow the chocolates to release effortlessly. If a gentle pressure does not pop the confections right out, it's not ready! Let it continue to chill a few more minutes before trying again.

Viola! That's all it takes to easily remove your chocolates from your candy molds! 😍

If you want to stack something, stack cash on cash.
Do NOT... I repeat... Do NOT stack things on your molds.

We've been sharing some info on how to make your candy molds last longer, and piling heavier objects on your molds is almost certain to lead to destruction.

Though the molds are sturdy and we stand behind the products we create, we highly recommend you not put anything on top of your molds. We know, saving cupboard space is important to many people, however, heavier objects on your molds, or stacking large amounts of molds on one another, can create cracks, warping, and other damage that cannot be un done.

Just play it safe and don't stack anything that is heavy enough to apply unwanted pressure on your molds.

Your molds, and future creations, will thank you!

It's a beautiful day to share a with you!

Let's talk about Air Bubbles.

These little pesky things can surely ruin a beautiful creation. You complete your project, you're ready to remove the chocolate, you flip the mold over, and when the chocolate pops out you see a big air bubble front and center.
Sure, the creation is still going to be delicious, but will your customer be unhappy about the air bubble that is quite obviously not supposed to be there?

It's better to not even take that chance.

Here's how you ensure you have completely minimized the chance of having air bubbles...
If you're newer to the chocolatier game, start with smaller amounts of chocolate until you get the feel for tapping. Fill a little bit of the chocolate mold cavity with a small later of chocolate. Then, tap the mold gently on a flat surface until you no longer see the air bubbles coming to the surface. Add a little more chocolate and repeat.

Tapping the mold on a flat surface when filled with chocolate helps to release the air bubbles from all those nooks and crannies so they aren't trapped and ruining your creation!

Do you have another method you use when releasing air bubbles before completing your creation? We'd love to here your technique.

Now that you've learned how to wash your molds properly (warm, soapy water - NOT the dishwasher), we are here to tell you how to dry them properly.

We highly suggest using a lint free towel to hand dry your molds.

Why?
Well, first, you certainly don't want little lint pieces in your molds, as then your creations will be a bit fuzzy. 😂

And by actually hand drying them, you can ensure they don't dry with water spots. Though it's not an end-of-the-world issue to have a few water spots, it may cause spotting on your final products.

Just take a few seconds and wipe your molds dry when you're done hand washing them. 😁

As we continue to share ways to ensure your molds last a LONG time, we need to make sure your molds do not practice yoga. đŸ§˜â€â™€ī¸

Though they are plastic, and at times can be bendy, we highly suggest you not add extra force, twisting, or bending at any time.

Doing so may cause cracks, bends, and cavities to be unusable.

Save the yoga for yourself, not your candy molds. 😅
