Whatever’s In Season

10/11/2026

Ahhh the change of seasons. I’ve recently enjoyed some of nature’s bounty in the form of wild mushrooms. I forgot to take pictures of the hen of the woods, chicken of the woods, and puffball mushrooms that we ate! But here are some shroom pics that I did take as well as some miscellaneous fall photos. 🧡🤎💛

Anyone else love fresh pears with cottage cheese? Our tree produced a few delicious pears this year. And the Asian pear tree was loaded! I have one of each pear in this dish. And so much black pepper!! Another favorite with cottage cheese for me is garden fresh tomatoes 🍅
What do you like with your cottage cheese?⬇️⬇️⬇️

This is what my little garden plot looks like these days. I recently put an oats and peas cover crop in that will work to improve soil quality as it establishes these next few weeks and will die over winter.
Some areas are cover crop only while others still have tomatoes, marigolds, zinnias, peppers, and other established plants. In the areas that plants are still producing, I planted cover crop seed underneath.
What does your garden look like as we slide on into fall? I’d love to see your pictures in the comments!
