One of the biggest risk to any organization during this time of pandemic is "Corporate Culture". This risk will cause an organization, company, or business to lose all credibility, lose resources, and experience significant litigation due to their lack of patience, their lack of knowledge, and the err of assumption. Many leaders are believing that many within their organization is of the same mind, same belief, and same assumption when it is faced with the reality of "returning to work" in a pandemic. In my years of studying governance, risk, and compliance many fail to place emphasis on the intangible. Leaders lose sight of the big picture, because their main focus is on the monetary and not the people. Leaders must learn to SHIFT their focus on the human capital and realize that their greater risk will be made in how they handle the PEOPLE in their organizations, because they have placed valued on investment versus humanity.
To all business, for profit and non-profit, what is your organization's CORPORATE CULTURE MOTTO? How are you protecting HUMAN CAPITAL? Are you prepared for the FINANCIAL RISK AND REPUTATIONAL RISK IT WILL COST YOUR BUSINESS if you place your people in harms way?
Its a tough question and a tough reality, but you must be strategic in your decision making to ensure you capture the real mind, behavior, and assumption of your culture.
This has been a pain staking reality to make you aware of the dangers of your choices and your decisions, which will you choose?
