It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’m getting close to my 20th year of officiating weddings!

What has changed the most since I started out as a nondenominational minister is how the web & social media platforms have influenced trends.

In 2004, an officiant was invited to say a blessing over the meal & couple. We were respected as a spiritual representative and not treated as just a vendor.

For me, my ministry is wide and part of my every day living and I meet people where they are at: whether it’s at a ceremony, during a healing moment, on a walk, at work, as the subject I am photographing, or who I am praying for.

I’ve let go of the expectations I used to have and that has helped me to remain peaceful and available for the needs of a couple.

I do continue to officiate a few ceremonies a year - and I offer so much more too!

And as always, everything I do is “In the Spirit of Love”

2020 is a year that is unpredictable and causes us all to be creative and thoughtful. I honor you and hope to help you to have the wedding that brings you joy and love. We still do not know what protocols we must all follow and I will do my part to be available to you.

Loved working with these two for over a year from the booking to the wedding. They both come from wonderful families and their parents each have been married nearly 40 years. Dan and Jamie's first meeting was very similar to a Seinfeld episode and the wedding was so much fun to be a part of. So much love on that Bohlin dock in Newport. And, we beat the rain!!

This beautiful, heart - felt wedding got to the "I do!" before any real threat of thunderstorm approached. There was laughter, loved ones reading and taking part in their ceremony, and lemonade. I laugh now about the lemonade because as I headed out after the marriage license was complete, I tossed back a lemonade to quench my thirst (talking a lot can do that). Well the lemonade was spiked! I declined the last few sips and hit up a D&D on the way home for water and a bagel!!

It is so joyous when after months of meeting, talking, and planning, I have the honor of uniting two beautiful souls. Heaven shined down on Lindsay and Brian they day that they met and will continue to shower blessings upon them.

The Serviceberry or Juneberry blooms each late May into June. The bloom signified many things: the return of spring, safe passage on roads, time for annual baths and weddings!
Brides all chose to walk down the aisle clasping a handful of Serviceberry branches before the trees began to bear fruit.
Imagine how much easier wedding planning was back then!
