I understand the exhaustion, anxiety, and the resignation. 😨 I feel you.

The last part is a choice. We can assume defeat, and be defeated or We WILL WIN. If ...

I've got Wyoming on my mind 🐴

The country is, clearly, in need of a total reset. We have the choice to pursue a collaborative, civil reconciliation - where two (or more) sides find commonality as the destination. There's the other route that's scary AF. And there is no crossing isles in that model. We're better than that. Liz Cheney knows it.

I'm thankful to her for standing in that aisle and doing what's right for democracy, women and the world. Men should be grateful, too. The partners, fathers, and husbands whose own future is at stake when their family has diminished rights.

Last I checked, women's bodies are the same in Idaho as they are in California. We can't have one state that offers human rights, while another revokes them joyfully (looking at my home state of Idaho).

Liz Cheney knows this. There is a rational middle. There is an aisle. I'm for and eager for bipartisanship. Missing the Bush Cheney days is something I never expected to type out loud.

28 years ago, I was in a shopping mall in Tucson, Arizona when my mom died. I was working on a group project for grad school. An analysis of Disney cross marketing. Cataloging crap in crap stores. I don't know why that part sticks out. But it does.

How was it possible to be at a mall when my mom died? But I was. And she did. And my life was never the same.

This year - this week - I've felt my mortality harder. In a good way. I've outlived her for five years (IYKYK). And I have work to do. Her end is not mine.

I have to drive carefully, eat well. Get the physical. Get the mammogram. Get the colonoscopy (it's NBD BTW). See my therapist(s), too.

My mom didn't get to the latter. That's the world's loss.

She shaped my generosity - she modeled women breaking ceilings. With her high school degree she ran companies. She threw pots, and opened galleries. She lifted other women up and her c-suite looked like mine. As it should. Diverse. Fierce. Based on equity.

I didn't come by this set of values by accident. It's my birthright. Beckett's too.

We have important work to do.

FIRED UP for our new (future) VP. Gov. Walz represents the American Dream, the American family. MY family. It feels good. And I'm optimistic. So is my family.

Let's go to WORK. Re-introduce the American Dream to those who think it's dead, or doesn't apply to them.

Walz and Harris are family forward. Freedom, too. hashtag hashtag

Let's do the work TODAY for a bright tomorrow. I'm taking some time off with my family (privilege). While away, I'm eagerly learning/reading/messaging. And no matter where I am, I'm engaging and activating the people we know who rely on freedom. That's me. My family. My wife. My son. My team. My company. My city. It's rare for me to use "me" to make a point.

But I want to point out.

I am a small business owner creating jobs. I'm the family member that shows up whether we're wanted or not, a two-mom family.

We are a thriving, contributing family. Ask our son Beckett - he'll tell you: our life is the American Dream. He also knows we owe it to America to protect that dream.

I'm supposed to put emojis and stuff so people read this per the algorithm. I don't have time for emojis. I have time for freedom.

My mom was fierce AF. I honestly did not consider limitations based on my gender - because she didn't. She broke through all the glass ceilings. She had to. Thanks, Mom. Your footsteps led to my success. And my power. I have a lot of power. For the actual record.

Future POTUS Harris is leaving footprints, too. For every young person (men, too) who wants a future that includes freedom, and is free of gender bias, the path is clear.

Asking if a woman is qualified for anything is outrageous and normalized at once. We can choose my mom's path. And not bother asking the question.

Any pro-democracy voter needs to work as hard as possible, starting right now, to prevent Trump from taking office.

Democrats - we NEED a fierce, strategic, electable, pro-democracy ticket. Voters deserve a real voice.

Citizens of today's America, align today. Democracy is the only vote to make, and we MUST vote.

The entire world will suffer a single election that may change the course of history at great expense, danger and destruction.

Remember, people suffer, not politicians.

With Trump, we could easily become victims of political disruption without the rule of law.
