U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Paul Atkins announced that the SEC and CFTC have finally defined what counts as a security in crypto and what doesn’t.

Only one out of five new categories falls under securities law. He also previewed a startup exemption letting crypto projects raise up to $5M with simplified rules.

When he said “we’re not the securities and everything commission anymore” the crowds went off!

After 6 years of building through nonstop regulatory uncertainty, today felt like a real shift.
