Memphis airport moving walkway/travelator (had to look the technical word up) has a discharge ramp that is very steep and short.

On the other hand the women’s bathroom has a well thought out family area with a step stool.

Did they think males/dad’s would need the family step too?What are the odds?

Design matters!

This is a tea cup. Fairly unimportant purchase in the grand scheme of things. But if you look further and peel back the layers you realize that it may serve more functions if it holds the characteristics are looking for.

1- cover helps keep warm while steeping
2- glass material lets you see how far along the steeping/flavor is.
3- handle helps you from burning your hand. Or it’s just me.
4- strainer not shown is deep and gets tea leaves low in glass for optimum steeping.
5- cover holds strainer when done so no icky tea water to clean up.

Ever wonder what kind of designer you run into?

Well, this is me!

My living room is stuffed. I just bought a recliner. My space is tight for it and I had to rejigger my furniture. My VIP guest next week has issues with fluid retention. I design space with my heart, not just my eyes. I will continue to approach spaces with compassion and a design eye as they aren’t necessarily mutually exclusive.
