This is the year…

Over the last few weeks leading up to the New Year, I kept seeing and hearing 2 words —- Breakthrough and Freedom! As I referred to others, and even referred to myself and my life and situations, I found myself using these words. I didn’t really understand the correlation between the two but as I sat still, reflected and even cried, I understood these are my words for 2023 —-

On this seventh and final day of Kwanzaa, we celebrate and call forth the principle of Imani (Faith)!

As we walk into a New Year, we leave behind what has happened and believe that it’s all Good and it will all work out for my Good! This is our belief not because we can see how it will work out but we trust the process and have FAITH! Faith can move mountains!

On this final day of Kwanzaa, begin your Faith walk and declare, “Even if I can’t see it and don’t know how it is going to happen, I’m still moving and climbing because I have Faith”.

As we close Kwanzaa, my children and I exchanged Journals that we made for each other, and we have called them all Victory!!
