Until I went to college, school was something that came naturally to me. Not to brag, but I rarely asked my parents for help in school. I just did it with ease.💅🏾⁣
⁣
That was until I had to take an Accounting class and after each class I had no clue what was going on.⁣
⁣
After 6 weeks, I called my mom and tell her how this class made me question my intelligence and ability. All she did was suggest that I get a tutor, like it was all so simple.⁣
⁣
A TUTOR?! Like the person who knows how to take students from failing to excelling? Ha! No way.⁣
⁣
Anyways, I got the tutor and I passed my accounting class! I even ended up using that tutor so much that he paid me for referring so many people.😂⁣
⁣
Same thing applies to you as a Beauty Boss, asking for help is not ideal and it is super uncomfortable, but it can take you a long way.⁣
⁣
Imagine the extra resources that I would have to had to sacrifice if I didn't ask for help. ⁣I was so opposed to tutoring because I never needed it for school, so why now?⁣The thing I didn't notice was that I was at a higher level of school and it required A LOT more from me.⁣

No, but on a serious note stop overwhelming yourself when the solution is right here typing this post.(an assistant!) ⁣

I'm a real person, so let's look at the reality. The reality is being an Beauty Professional is:⁣
⁣
😓 Tiring⁣
😕 Scary⁣
🤯 Overwhelming ⁣
⁣
The other reality is that with the 3 actions above you don't have to feel that way and certainly not everyday. ⁣
⁣
1. Having days off allow you to recharge and get all your good energy back. If you're a "no days off" type of person you can definitely have a CEO day that's all about you. 👩🏽‍💻⁣

2. Double is always nice. Hiring a team will allow you to have a clone of yourself as many times as you want and allows you to take more days off.😉⁣

3. Lastly, sticking to a schedule allows you to get everything done as long as you are dedicated to your productivity. Having a team keeps you accountable. ⁣

Like I told y'all yesterday, I am done with school and I am not looking back. ⁣

I have titled this next chapter of my life "Hot Girl Summer, Hustle Sold Separately."⁣

I mean I am already a hot girl, but now it's time to be elevate and go to the next level. Being a hot girl comes naturally to me, but hustling and showing up everyday is a choice I have to make every single day. Sometimes it is so hard to do the work that comes with "hustling."⁣

Hello June 1st, it feels so good bringing in the summer when you have knocked off your biggest goal of 2021.  
 
I GRADUATED COLLEGE! 
 
I now have a B.S. in Management Information Systems and a minor in Geographic Information Systems. a.k.a I'm a computer nerd👩🏽‍💻 
 
I am not the same girl who packed her 4 suitcases to travel to a different timezone for college, but that girl is so so so proud of the woman that I am today.

As a business owner you need someone who matches your values and sees the vision you have.⁣
⁣
This includes your clients. Just because someone has money for you doesn't mean you have to take it and everything that comes with it. If your clients do not believe what you believe then there will be issues, speaking from experience!⁣😟

The easiest way to find the best clients is to enforce policies and rules that are reasonable and help you in your business.⁣ If they are the ideal client they will have no problem following the rules!

On the other hand, the best way to create peaceful business relationships is to get to know them first.⁣
⁣
This is why every client that I have has had a consultation call, so I can know if we will be a perfect fit.⁣ My clients are letting me into their business as a partner, I have to make sure I can deliver. I also have to make sure they understand how I work. You have this same power!
