The Cambium Mass Timber team will be at the Colorado Mass Timber Coalition conference next week, meeting with designers, builders, manufacturers, foresters, and sawyers.

We're working with CMTC toward a wood supply chain in Colorado and the Intermountain West where the product of forest restoration work becomes building material and the economic value stays with local communities.

A sauna wood has to do two things a decking board never will: stay comfortable under bare skin at 180°F, which means light, low-density, and resin-free. And it needs to hold its shape through thousands of wet-dry, hot-cold cycles a year.

That's why the sauna industry has increasingly started to specify thermal wood. Hours of heat and steam change the wood at a molecular level, and what comes out holds its dimensions through cycles that move other species.

Make a sauna, but make it pop(lar).

Excited to see the new sauna at Aire Chicago by our partners Finnish Sauna Builders.

Instead of traditional cedar which has a strong fragrance and can harbor bacteria, they chose Carbon Smart Wood Thermal Poplar. A much more durable and sustainable choice, with a consistent appearance.
