Our approach uses fact-based marketing and metrics to help our clients realize their goals and capture the attention of thei

r target audiences. Storytelling is just one of the tools we use to help our clients attract business, investment and raise their market profiles. Our work with economic development organizations including Brick City Development Corporate, the Washington DC Economic Partnership and the Philadelphia Retail Market Alliance has realized over $50M in editorial coverage, 7,000+ new jobs over 2M sf of space. The results vary from Newark’s first full service grocer and several food production companies to new technology and professional companies in DC. Retail is a desirable asset as it greatly improves the quality of life. The Riddle Company has undertaken retail attraction for almost every major market on the East coast from Miami to Boston and a selection of cities across the country. 2 + 2 does not equal 4 in retail attraction. Many issues factor into retailers’ site selection process. Our understanding of tenants’ needs and priorities has resulted in 350,000 sf of new retail in Philadelphia, including Target Express, Marshall's, Bloomingdales Outlets and many smaller tenants including Madewell. Our early work in DC is the foundation of the District's Retail Initiative and led to a range of catalytic projects such as DCUSA, and many tenants first in the market such as TJX, Container Store, Best Buy and West Elm. We maintain relationships with over 200 retailers and leverage these relationships along with others in the industry to help our clients achieve their goals.
