Great, easy explainer on the debate surrounding the filibuster, featuring our own Brian Darling.

As the U.S. Senate returns Tuesday to take up legislation on voting rights, there's one major roadblock for Democrats: Majority Leader Chuck Schumer doesn't have the votes to pass it in an evenly-divided chamber. That's led to renewed talk of reforming the Senate's filibuster rules. Lisa Desjardins....

Congratulations to our own Cesar Conda for being named one of National Institute for Lobbying and Ethics' Top Lobbyists of 2021.

This is a great honor for our team after what has been a challenging year for so many throughout the country. It's especially rewarding as this year's honor recognizes a cause important to Cesar's work:

''Earlier this year, there was an alarming spike in hate crimes against Asian-Americans. As a Filipino-American, I was honored to lead a bipartisan group of former senior AAPI Administration and Congressional officials in crafting a statement calling for action against anti-Asian American hate. This statement helped make the issue a bipartisan one, which led to the eventual passage of the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act."

Congratulations again to all of this year's winners.

"The United States cannot afford to have SOF capabilities relegated to a back burner while the Services focus on fighting the next great conventional war."

Check out this great op-ed in The Hill by Meaghan Keller-Pettigrew, James R. Locher III, and Navigators Global Senior Strategist Thomas Trask.

Congress should insist that the civilian oversight of special operations reflect the reality of modern warfare and SOF’s place in it by elevating the ASD SO/LIC to an under secretary position.
