After many months of deliberating, I’ve decided to share some recent developments. In light of all that has happened in the past year, I wish I could confidently claim to have found the right words but that’d be an utter lie. Instead, I have settled for plainly sharing my testimony and telling of the goodness of the Lord in hopes that we’re all inspired through these dark days.

6 months ago, we bought a building.

Truthfully, I couldn’t tell you how this happened because 10 months earlier, we were reeling from the pain of losing our main source of income 2 weeks after our big day. 10 months earlier, the future was uncertain, bleak even. Then the pandemic set in and there was the opportunity that never quite became one.

No, we didn’t set off to buy a multi-unit property. We didn’t think we’d be in the position to invest in DC real estate market for a few years. Even when it became an option, we were at best hoping for a small starter home. Then, even that effort proved futile.

Except of course, God had other plans and boy, did He show out.

Today, in the midst of it all, I’m grateful for life, love, health and provision. I’m grateful for technology and scientific advancements, frontline and essential workers. I’m grateful for friends and family, angels God placed in our lives who continue to play a crucial role in our journey. I’m grateful for for guiding us through uncharted territories and sticking with us through arduous moments. I’m grateful for you all, my little cyber community.

Here’s to the light at the end of the tunnel.
