She found her calling in facilitation and coaching and after earning her Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, has spent the last seven years translating her decade-long professional acting career into designing training and facilitation that engages employees and helps them leverage their strengths for higher performance. Her client list includes: Booz Allen Hamilton, Lehman Brothers, PwC, Deloitte, Citibank, the United States Olympic Committee, the U.S. Olympic athletes, PNC Bank, JPMorgan Chase, Ziff Brothers Investments, Freddie Mac, Westin Hotels, GlaxoSmith Kline, Yale Women’s Swimming and Diving Team,, Landing School of Boat Building, Wharton School of Business, Columbia Business School, Columbia Women in Business, the Columbia-China Youth Development Program, Merrill Lynch and Mackenzie Consulting. Executive Leadership Development: Shannon was chosen to be a part of the groundbreaking facilitation team for the U.S. She has trained over 1,000 Army sergeants in psychological resilience at Army bases all over the country. She also designs and leads Appreciative Inquiry Summits for organizations after learning the process from its founder, David Cooperrider. She has been published in International Appreciative Inquiry journals, is a contributor to Positive Psychology at Work, and a chapter the French language book: The European Handbook of Positive Psychology. Shannon has been an assistant instructor in the MAPP program at the University of Pennsylvania; and is a member of the International Positive Psychology Association in the U.S. Service: Shannon is a co-founder of the group, Positive Business DC (PBDC), whose mission is to inspire leaders across the Metro DC region to increase well-being, productivity and profitability in the workplace. She also leads the Scholarship Committee at the University of Pennsylvania’s M.A.P.P. Education: Shannon is an honors graduate of Yale College; the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art; and is one of 300 people in the world to have received her Master of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
