🇸🇿 Celebrating 58 Years of Eswatini’s Independence

Today, we celebrate the Kingdom of Eswatini and its journey since gaining independence on 6 September 1968.

Beyond commemorating history, Independence Day is an opportunity to recognize the partnerships, enterprise and investment shaping Eswatini’s future and strengthening its connections across Africa and the global economy.

At BIND Associates, we celebrate the people of Eswatini and the continued pursuit of trade, investment and shared prosperity.

Happy 58th Independence Day, Eswatini! 🇸🇿

💰 What happens when diaspora capital is strategically mobilized?

India offers a powerful example. Indian banks attracted $127.23 billion in foreign-currency deposits from non-residents—contributing to a wider foreign-exchange programme that generated $136.38 billion in total inflows.

Beyond remittances, diaspora communities can become a major source of investment capital, foreign exchange, business growth, and economic resilience.

For African economies, the opportunity is clear: the conversation must move from simply receiving diaspora money to creating credible systems that mobilize, protect, and invest diaspora capital for long-term development.

At BIND Associates, we believe stronger connections between the diaspora and African markets can unlock new possibilities for trade, investment, and sustainable growth.

🌍 Diaspora capital is more than money sent home. It can be capital for transformation.

🌍 Africa’s digital trade future is taking shape.

The AfCFTA Secretariat and Quest Ghana Limited have signed a joint-venture agreement for a proposed $5.17 billion Digital Trade Corridor designed to strengthen how African businesses connect, transact and trade across borders.

From cross-border payments and logistics to digital marketplaces, commodities exchange and trade-settlement infrastructure, the proposed corridor could help address some of the barriers that continue to limit intra-African commerce.

For the African diaspora, this is especially significant. Better digital trade infrastructure can create stronger pathways for investment, entrepreneurship, partnerships and access to African markets.

Africa’s trade opportunity is not only about moving goods. It is about building the infrastructure that connects African businesses, diaspora capital and global markets.

Follow BIND Associates for more insights on African trade, investment and diaspora opportunities.

$330 MILLION. ⚡
British International Investment has backed Africa50’s Infrastructure Acceleration Fund, adding momentum to infrastructure investment across the continent. Capital is already moving into projects spanning Tanzania’s energy grid, gas distribution, and healthcare infrastructure.

For businesses and investors across Africa and the diaspora, infrastructure at this scale creates the foundation for new markets, stronger industries, and greater opportunity.

Power. Health. Industry. This is what investment at scale can unlock. 💪🏾

🇬🇦 Happy Independence Day, Gabon!

Today, we celebrate the people of Gabon, their heritage, resilience, and the opportunities that lie ahead as the nation continues its development journey.

Beyond its rich culture and natural beauty, Gabon remains an important player in Central Africa’s economy. The country is rich in oil, manganese, timber and other natural resources, while increasing attention is being placed on expanding non-oil sectors and building a more diversified economy. According to the World Bank, oil, manganese and wood account for approximately 97% of Gabon’s exports, highlighting both the strength of its natural-resource base and the opportunity for greater economic diversification.

At BIND Associates, we celebrate Gabon’s independence and look forward to a future of greater investment, entrepreneurship, regional trade and sustainable economic growth.

Happy Independence Day, Gabon! 🇬🇦
