ACS Analytical Chemistry Journals

ACS Analytical Chemistry Journals Engage with the scientific community and discover what ACS Publications has to offer in the field of analytical chemistry.

Analytical Chemistry is a peer-reviewed research journal that is devoted to the dissemination of new and original knowledge in all branches of analytical chemistry. Fundamental Articles, Letters to Analytical Chemistry, and Technical Notes may address the general principles of chemical measurement science and need not directly address existing or potential analytical methodology. Manuscripts may b

e entirely theoretical with regard to analysis, or they may report experimental results that bear on theory. They may contribute to any phase of analytical measurements and concepts thereof, including but not limited to: sampling, bioanalysis, electrochemistry, mass spectrometry, microscale and nanoscale systems and structures, environmental analysis, separations, spectroscopy, chemical reactions and selectivity, instrumentation, imaging, surface analysis, and data processing. Manuscripts dealing with known analytical methods should offer a significant, original application of the method, a noteworthy improvement, or results on an important analyte. The journal also publishes Features, Perspectives, and comprehensive Reviews.

Announcing ‘Mapping Disease Pathways Through Spatial Multiomics’, part of our Fueling Scientific Discovery: ACS Publications’ Celebrated Scientists webinar series.

Taking place on June 24, 11:00–12:00 EDT, this virtual session spotlights powerful spatial multiomics approaches that are transforming how scientists interrogate complex disease biology.

Presented by Prof. Elizabeth Neumann, winner of the 2026 Early Career Investigator Award in Analytical Chemistry and Assistant Professor at the University of California, Davis, United States.

Moderated by: Prof. Jonathan Sweedler, Editor‑in‑Chief of Analytical Chemistry and James R. Eiszner Family Endowed Chair in Chemistry, University of Illinois, United States.

Prof. Neumann will explore how integrating rich molecular profiling with spatial context provides new insights into cellular interactions, pathway organization, and disease progression, offering a next‑generation view of disease mechanisms.

Journal of Proteome Research is celebrating 25 years in publication!

Proteomics has changed immensely since 2002, evolving from a method-driven field into a cornerstone of biology and medicine. John R. Yates, III (The Scripps Research Institute) has been with the journal every step of the way—from authoring the very first paper in JPR, to becoming an editorial board member, and then becoming Editor-in-Chief in 2016.

“The success of the journal is a direct result of the quality and impact of the work that has been submitted to it. It’s been a privilege to see how the field has grown through these contributions.” –Prof. John R. Yates, III

Prof. Yates reflects on this milestone in an exclusive Axial interview, sharing how the journal has evolved to meet new challenges and shape new fields of research: https://go.acs.org/ebC
