ACS Analytical Chemistry Journals

ACS Analytical Chemistry Journals Engage with the scientific community and discover what ACS Publications has to offer in the field of analytical chemistry.

Analytical Chemistry is a peer-reviewed research journal that is devoted to the dissemination of new and original knowledge in all branches of analytical chemistry. Fundamental Articles, Letters to Analytical Chemistry, and Technical Notes may address the general principles of chemical measurement science and need not directly address existing or potential analytical methodology. Manuscripts may b

e entirely theoretical with regard to analysis, or they may report experimental results that bear on theory. They may contribute to any phase of analytical measurements and concepts thereof, including but not limited to: sampling, bioanalysis, electrochemistry, mass spectrometry, microscale and nanoscale systems and structures, environmental analysis, separations, spectroscopy, chemical reactions and selectivity, instrumentation, imaging, surface analysis, and data processing. Manuscripts dealing with known analytical methods should offer a significant, original application of the method, a noteworthy improvement, or results on an important analyte. The journal also publishes Features, Perspectives, and comprehensive Reviews.

Accepting submissions through November 2, 2026!

Journal of Proteome Research is welcoming submissions for its fifth biennial Special Issue: Software Tools and Resources. The goal of this recurring Special Issue is to highlight the latest novel and significantly updated software tools, web applications, and databases that scientists can use for data analysis and visualization in proteomics and related research.

For inclusion in this Special Issue, authors must present either:

🔹A complete description of a relevant novel tool, library, web application, or database (article)
OR
🔹A substantial and meaningful update of a previously published tool or resource (technical note).

The full working tool or database must be available free-of-charge to editors and reviewers for evaluation at the time of manuscript submission.

Analytical Chemistry has published reviews since the journal’s founding nearly 100 years ago. The journal now accepts, evaluates, and publishes review articles on a rolling basis throughout the year and then curates them into an annual Special Issue.

This year’s Special Issue features 49 reviews spanning emerging biosensing platforms—including CRISPR-based assays, DNA logic systems, and nanozyme sensors—alongside advances in functional materials such as MOFs, graphene, and nanocomposites.

Hydrogen is an attractive fuel for energy-intensive industries but estimates of hydrogen emission rates from any source are poorly understood. To accelerate the development of hydrogen emission quantification technologies, ACS Sensors and ACS ES&T Air welcome submissions for a new Special Issue.

The Special Issue will provide a platform for researchers to share their latest findings, discuss technological challenges, and outline future directions in this critical area of technology development and sustainable energy solutions.
