Let’s blow the whistle for good ethical governmental leaders. It’s time out for anything else. In my two decade government career I’ve witnessed things that I believe work against the public interest that I have been sworn to serve.
It is about remembering why we enter public service in the first place—to protect and serve our communities, to uphold the principles of good governance, and to ensure that the majority of citizens benefit from our work. I believed in this mission. I still do. But sometimes certain processes become corrupted, priorities shift from service to self-preservation, and transparency gives way to secrecy.

I am the Chair of the Ethics Commission here in La Plata. I am dedicated to my role and duties.
True public service requires integrity—even when that means challenging established systems. It means adapting to changing social needs rather than clinging to outdated methods. It means building alliances based on shared values rather than shared interests.
The path forward isn’t about dismantling institutions but improving them. It’s about having difficult conversations about what good governance really means in today’s complex world.
I am part of the vast majority that are dedicated public servants. I will be that candidate in award 3.

We all deserve to be a part of a system that reflects commitment to ethical service.
Change is uncomfortable but necessary. And sometimes, the most loyal act is to speak up when things go astray.

Today is a double celebration. I’m beyond a proud mom. Micah turns 16 today and he got all A’s this quarter.

I prayed and said how can we honor Micah today. I thought hmmm. He has a college fund so why not do a birthday donation. I said let me look to see if the fund has a gifting option to share on social media. They did have one.

My goal is $1600. 100 people could give $16. Or any anoint they desire. Gifts and cash are very nice. But investing in a child’s future is key.

I have no idea who this post may reach. Some may be inclined to sow into Micah. Others may not. But I ask that you cover Micah in prayer. He is genuinely kind, intelligent, 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹thoughtful, and has great character. I’m blessed to have the privilege to parent him.

I would not have these two without their dad and the men who have helped me raise them. I am eternally grateful for fathers. I pray my sons be stellar fathers one day. Fathers matter and are necessary. Women cannot have a child without a male seed. For this I give thanks. Happy Father’s Day.
