Starting tomorrow, we’re taking a closer look.

We are pleased to announce that three former chairs of the Design-Build Institute of America’s National Board of Directors will join the National Academy of Construction (NAC) next month!

Dana Pomeroy, Deb Sheehan and Jim Whitaker were elected to NAC’s Class of 2026 and will be formally inducted Sept. 25 during the Academy’s Annual Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee.

California’s latest legislation is on the books after Gov. Newsom signed a bill eliminating the sunset for local agencies’ design-build authority.

Senate Bill 935 gets rid of a 2031 on design-build for public works projects exceeding $1,000,000.

Nearly 700 people came together in Reston, Virginia, last week as DBIA’s Federal Design-Build Symposium sold out for the first time in its history.
