Trying out new ways to share my thoughts and practice sharing them as raw as sushi 🍣. Still took me a while to crop these screenshots. More on this later, hope this is helpful to someone and feel free to tag a friend.👍

During this time of the year, it’s so easy to fall into the “could have” “should have” “if I had done... then I would...” narratives and feeling shame and guilt for what we didn’t do throughout different points of the year.

But what if you are RIGHT ON TIME? Looking back, yes often times I do wish things could be different, but I could also see the lessons and wisdom I learned along the way because certain things didn’t happen the way I was expecting.

I encourage you to celebrate the ways you got yourself through every single day of this year, and allow yourself to be proud of YOU and all of the ways you had made progress and grew.

You’re already much further along than you thought, and you are right on time.🐛🦋

This has been a tough lesson to learn but I’m glad that somewhere along the way, I came to the realization that I can’t keep running from what I still need to heal from.

There’s a lesson in everything that we’ve been through. Nobody can determine that timeline for you, you are the one to decide for yourself if you want to keep running away from all your troubles, or to finally face it with tools/resources/guidance and transmute your pain into wisdom. 🦋

For so many years, I’ve held myself back from doing things that I want to do because “I can’t do it like them”.

From a distance, it looks like everyone has got their things together in the online space: the perfect color palette, the perfect captions, etc.

But as humans, each one of us is unique so how can we expect ourselves to be performing exactly like someone else?

Every one of us is on our own path, although it is in our natural tendency to compare ourselves to others, just try to be more aware of how and when we are comparing ourselves with people around us next time, and tell ourselves, “you get to do it your way, because no one else can do it like you.”👌

It’s been about a month since ‘s passing. I hesitated on if I should share this little story I have of him, and then I remember how deeply interconnected we as humans are, and perhaps this little snippet would be another piece that help us remember him together for a long time to come.

I had the pleasure of meeting him at conference in 2019. I went up to his vendor table nervously and asked him if he would do me the honor to write a few encouraging words for those times when we’re met with obstacles in our lives and on the creative journey. And he did so with such generosity, wrote me this handwritten note right on the spot, and I am forever grateful.

We often forget how limited our time on this earth can be. While we still can, let’s remember to tell the people we cherish how much they matter to us, and share our gifts with the world, as much as we can, before it’s too late.🤍

Follow your JOYYY!!! Follow what truly makes you feel good!😌 This year I wanna lean more into my joy, because I feel the most powerful when I am filled with joy. ✨What do you want to feel more of in 2021? What do you wanna feel less of? Don’t forget to leave some time for your joy and fulfillment daily when you are filling out your calendar. Even though we can’t control our external circumstances, we can still schedule out even just 5 minutes a day doing what makes us happy. Try it out, who knows, it might just be life-changing for you! :)

✨Your own beautiful journey and adventure begins as you accept your inherent greatness.✨
I can’t tell you how many times I stopped myself from doing what I say I was gonna do simply because I said to myself “I can’t because I’m not there yet.” “Other people can do it better. Why should I even bother trying?” It’s sad to see how many times we get in our own way before we even begin.
Truth is, we all have our own uniqueness, and that’s our superpower. So let’s operate from a place of abundance rather than a place of feeling inadequate. Start from where we are right at this moment, keep learning, and see where this adventure takes us.
Question of the day: What is one of your limited beliefs and how has it affect your progress?

Let’s take it one moment at a time.✨What are your favorite things to do to stay present? Personally, spending time with my cats always make me feel more present and to just be in the moment I am in right now.

I remembered I used to love the song “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield back in the day. And now I think I love this lyric even more, “Live your life with arms wide open/ Today is where your book begins/ The rest is still unwritten.”
Made this piece yesterday as my submission for open call opportunity. The original file is a little bigger for sharing on here so I split it into two slides. The piece took me about three hours yesterday but I’m likening how it turned out!

Thank you for your patience with my social absence lately and for sticking with me as I work through some personal stuff. I’ve also made some new discoveries that I can’t wait to share with you soon!
On another note, it was such an honor for me to be included into this year’s DC Maker Directory hosted by AIGA DC for the annual ! Although the Design week events had just came to an end this past week, the directory will stay in place through this holiday season for people to continue to check out and support the 50 plus artists and makers listed on dcdesignweek.org website. You can visit ‘s link in bio for more details!
