Today as we say her name - Henrietta Lacks, we are grateful for all that her legacy has made possible. Excited for all that is to come to honor herstory by advancing health equity and social justice.

Today we honor Henrietta Lacks. Our Hennie was a wife, mother, and friend who unknowingly became the mother of Modern Medicine. All October, we will commemorate 71 years since Henrietta Lacks’ HeLa cells changed the world and her untimely death on October 4, 1951.
