Leadhership Network for Women is a national movement dedicated to empowering, connecting, and equipping women in K-12 leadership with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to drive transformation, innovation, and equity in education. Imagine a classroom, school, or district where every leader reflects the diversity and

Bold moves aren’t just about taking risks — they’re about reimagining what leadership can be.

As Amy Dujon shares in “Women in Leadership: Bold Moves,” true impact happens when women lead authentically — and when we come together to learn, share, and grow.

That same spirit was at the heart of last month’s Leadhership Network for Women national convening, where leaders from across the country united to chart a new path for K12 education.

When women lead boldly — and support one another — schools and communities thrive.

Today’s Lunch & Learn keynotes left us inspired and ready to flourish!

✨ Dr. Sabba Quidwai challenged us to embrace AI with empathy and vision—because cultures of innovation begin with cultures of empathy. The next 10 years are our window to shape what leadership looks like in the age of AI.

🌸 Jessica Reid Sliwerski, CEO of Ignite Reading, reminded us that nurturing isn’t soft—it’s the hardest skill to master and the most powerful tool a leader can hold.

A powerful reminder that leading with heart drives bold innovation.

✨ At , we asked our Opening Panel Leadhers: What should leaders stop doing to truly flourish this year? Here’s what our panelists had to say:

🌸 Saxony Brown: “Stop having to listen to the loudest voice of the group. Instead, hear the perspective of everyone you serve.”

🌸 Kelsey Buck: “Stop fighting your critics. Turn the narrative around and push your positive stories out there.”

🌸 Judy Nee: “Stop trying to do it all yourself. That’s what we do — but we don’t have to.”

🌸 Ellen Padva: “Stop holding the secret. Tell your principals what you want to see, and I promise you’ll see it.”

Leadership turnover in education is accelerating—23% of the top 500 U.S. school districts replaced their superintendent this past year.

But there’s a notable shift: women now hold one-third of these top positions, up from 30% last year. It’s progress, but at this growth rate, parity is still decades away.

Many women are being promoted from within their districts—often from deputy or interim roles—which shows the value of intentional pipelines and succession planning.

The takeaway? Leadership in education is evolving, but true equity still requires urgency and systemic change.
