Recent projected shifts in the funding landscape have created new challenges across the nonprofit and private sectors. Many organizations are likely to face resource constraints while serving millions of community members. Now is the time to not only process the ever changing dynamics we are seeing, but now is the time to PLAN:

P - Prioritize critical programs and assess financial health
L - Leverage community partnerships and resources
A - Adapt funding strategies for sustainability
N - Navigate change through collaborative innovation

While things may seem bad, the good thing is, you're not in this alone. We're in this TOGETHER!!!

As you began to move forward in your strategic planning efforts, here are some strategies to implement:

1️⃣ Assess & Adapt: Evaluate your organization's financial sustainability (for at least a year-- three if you can). Focus on critical programs and optimize resource allocation. You should know down to the penny, how much it cost to operate each program/project under your org.

2️⃣ Diversify Funding: Enhance fundraising strategies, explore new grant opportunities, and develop strategic partnerships. What new directions can the org go in? What lies at the intersection of your work's avenue.

3️⃣ Collaborate & Share Resources: Strengthen community partnerships—share knowledge, resources, and best practices to maximize our collective impact.

4️⃣ Plan Strategically: Create robust contingency plans and focus on long-term sustainability.

5️⃣ Advocate Together: Unite your voices to highlight the critical importance of sustained funding for essential community programs. Community Advisory Boards and Coalitions will be vital during these times.

Public health stands at a critical juncture, where decades of progress face challenges from shifting political climates and evolving policies. The very foundations of public wellbeing are being tested. Yet within what seems to be challenging times, yields endless possibilities— positive of course.

Despite these hurdles, the resilience of communities, advocates, and public health professionals continues to drive innovation and equity. Together, we are persevering—harnessing compassion, science, and advocacy to ensure that progress is not only protected but expanded and accessible for all.

Within the last 24 hours, communities have began to rise up with innovative solutions, birthed from necessity and nurtured by compassion.

By bridging divides, challenging conventions, and centering the voices of those historically marginalized, we will witness a renaissance in public health approaches.

Engaging new and non-responsive audiences can be challenging, but with the right tactics, you can build interest, make impact and increase your online impressions…

Here are some effective engagement strategies to consider:

➡️Understand Your Audience
• Know their needs: Conduct surveys, interviews, or gather data to understand their preferences, pain points, and motivations.
• Segment your audience: Tailor messages for specific subgroups to make communication more relevant and personal.

➡️Create Value-Driven Content
• Offer incentives: Provide discounts, exclusive access, or giveaways for participation.
• Educational content: Share useful resources like tutorials, guides, or webinars to show value.

➡️Use the Right Channels
