For four children, the world suddenly became a much different place when their father, Steve Matheson, tragically died after being struck by lightning while riding a jet ski near St. Petersburg, Florida. Steve was a devoted husband and father who found his greatest happiness in his family. His wife, Abbie, and their children were at the heart of his life, and the love he had for them was something those around him knew well. He was also a passionate BYU football fan and a man whose faith in his Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ, was deeply important to him. Now Abbie is left to navigate life without her husband, while four children face growing up without their father beside them. Along with the emotional pain, the family is also dealing with the sudden costs of bringing Steve home to Utah and making funeral arrangements. No family should have to face such heartbreak and financial uncertainty at the same time. Please surround the Matheson family with prayers, love and support as they take the next painful steps without Steve. ❤️🙏

Beau Vayon was only 14 years old, and Kinden Washington was just 15. They were best friends who shared far more than a school—they were teammates, bandmates and part of the same close-knit community. On Saturday night, the two were riding together on a four-wheeler in Newton County when they collided with a pickup truck. Neither boy survived. In an instant, two families lost sons, friends lost someone they loved, and a small Texas community was left trying to understand a loss that feels impossible to comprehend. These boys had so much life ahead of them—more football games, more music, more laughter, more memories and dreams that had not yet had the chance to become reality. Now the people who loved them are left holding onto those memories while facing a goodbye no family should ever have to experience. Please remember Beau and Kinden by name, and keep everyone who loved them in your prayers. ❤️🙏

There are some moments in life that divide everything into “before” and “after.” For Xavier Taylor’s family, that moment came on a baseball field three months ago. A ball struck the 12-year-old in the neck. He collapsed. His heart stopped. And since then, his parents have spent every day beside a son who has not yet awakened from his coma. They have watched time pass while holding onto the same hope: that Xavier will come back to them. Tonight, they’re asking the world to help carry that hope. At 8:30 p.m. Eastern, communities across America will join together for “Rise Up and Xave,” praying specifically for Xavier’s healing and for strength for the family who has refused to give up. After everything they’ve endured, they don’t need empty promises — they need love, faith and people willing to stand beside them. So tonight, if you believe in prayer, say this boy’s name. Pray for his brain, his body and the miracle his family is still waiting for. 💙🙏

Makenzie Foster thought her daughter’s canceled mermaid birthday party was simply one of those frustrating moments when plans don’t work out. Then she woke up with an idea she couldn’t ignore. What if the splash-pad reservation could become a special day for the seniors at the rehabilitation center where she works? That simple thought turned into an unforgettable adventure. With help from coworkers, volunteers, a church and the residents’ families, a group of nursing-home residents headed to the water for a day they never saw coming. They laughed. They played. They got soaked. They enjoyed the kind of carefree fun that can become harder to find as the years pass. And Millie, the little birthday girl whose original celebration had been rained out, got to experience it all with them. Her mother hopes her children grow up understanding that people may move through the world differently, but everyone deserves kindness, patience, dignity and inclusion. 💗 Maybe Millie’s first party had to be canceled because a much bigger celebration was waiting for her — one that brought together a 5-year-old and a group of seniors to prove that sometimes the best memories are the ones we never planned.

Thirteen-year-old Caden Sorrell went to football practice Friday expecting another ordinary day. Instead, his heart suddenly stopped, and his family’s world was shattered. Doctors fought with everything they had, using ECMO and intensive treatment in an effort to save him. But yesterday, Caden lost his fight. Now his parents are left with the unbearable pain of saying goodbye to their son while doctors investigate whether a genetic condition could have contributed to his sudden death — a question that could affect his twin brother and other siblings. There is no easy explanation for losing a child so suddenly, and there is no way to make this pain disappear. All we can do is surround this family with love, prayers and support. Please say a prayer for Caden’s parents, his twin brother, his siblings, teammates and friends. And please remember the boy behind No. 42. ❤️🙏

At just 9 years old, Zoey Cleghorn has already faced challenges that no child should ever have to endure. After being diagnosed with osteosarcoma, her days quickly changed from childhood adventures to hospital visits, surgeries and difficult decisions.
Doctors eventually had to remove a significant portion of her leg through rotationplasty, creating a future Zoey never could have imagined. But instead of letting that define her, she is now preparing for something incredibly special—her next chapter. ❤️
Zoey has recently been fitted with her prosthetic leg, bringing her closer to standing, walking and returning to some of the activities she loves. It may take time, patience and countless hours of rehabilitation, but every new movement is another reminder of how far she has already come.
Her mom, Amy, continues to hold onto hope that Zoey will be able to return to school for good in January and begin experiencing more of the childhood she deserves.
ONE STEP AT A TIME, ZOEY IS SHOWING THE WORLD WHAT TRUE COURAGE LOOKS LIKE. 🦿💖🙏
Her journey isn't about how quickly she reaches the finish line. It's about every small victory along the way—the first step, the first confident walk and every moment she discovers just how strong she truly is.
Keep going, Zoey. Your next chapter is waiting for you. ❤️‍🩹✨

For almost three days, everyone could have assumed the worst for 6-year-old Manisha. Buried beneath mud and wreckage after devastating floods and landslides in Nepal, she somehow held on until rescuers heard something that changed everything — the faint sound of a child crying. They dug toward the voice and discovered Manisha alive, with a small pocket of space around her head helping her survive. ❤️‍🩹 She was pulled from the destruction, taken for medical treatment and, in an incredible ending to an already unbelievable rescue, reunited with both of her parents, who had also survived. In the middle of a disaster that has brought unimaginable loss to so many families, Manisha's survival is a reminder that hope can sometimes be found in the smallest voice beneath the rubble. Please keep this precious girl, her parents and everyone still waiting for news of their loved ones in your prayers. 🙏❤️

Six-year-old Mallie Williams was simply playing in her yard while her dad mowed the grass. Then, in an instant, something launched from beneath the mower and struck her in the face. What her family initially feared might be a wound requiring a few stitches turned out to be something far more devastating. Mallie suffered catastrophic injuries, lost her left eye and had a fractured piece of bone pe*****te her brain. She has already endured multiple surgeries, sedation and intubation while doctors work to understand the full extent of her injuries. For her parents, watching their little girl go from laughing and playing outside to fighting for her recovery has been heartbreaking. Her father put it simply: “We are struggling. We are trusting Jesus.” 🙏❤️ Right now, Mallie needs every prayer she can get. Pray for healing in her brain, strength for her body and courage for the road ahead. And pray for the family who is trying to remain strong while their six-year-old daughter fights a battle no child should ever have to face. 🥺🙏

There was a time when Jamie Causey felt like she didn’t quite fit in. She couldn’t afford the sorority experience many of her classmates were enjoying, and money was always a concern as she worked toward finishing college. But Jamie did something powerful: she kept going. She started recording videos about her life, her struggles and the importance of being happy even when things aren’t perfect. People connected with her honesty. Her videos went viral, and eventually one of them caught the attention of Olivia Rodrigo. What happened next sounds almost impossible—a world-famous pop star reached out personally, encouraged Jamie and offered to help with her tuition. When Jamie explained that she needed $5,000 to finish her final semester, Olivia sent the money. Just like that, a burden Jamie had been carrying became a little lighter. 🥹❤️ But Jamie’s story isn’t really about a celebrity or a check. It’s about a young woman who refused to believe that struggling meant she was failing. She found her voice, inspired strangers and ultimately discovered that being yourself can be more powerful than trying to fit into someone else’s world. Now she’s choosing to step away from social media for a while, protect her peace and focus on the life she worked so hard to build. And maybe that is the greatest victory of all

Today, Jer didn’t make it out of the house, and his mom says that’s okay. With TK2D, even a small change can bring new challenges. He is adjusting to increased medication, dealing with an upset tummy and extra secretions, so today became a day for rest and reflection. His mom has watched the cycle happen again and again: Jer gains weight, his strength changes, medications are adjusted, and eventually he slowly finds that strength again. Through it all, his resilience keeps inspiring her. She is thankful for the medicines and therapies that help her son not only survive, but thrive. And when the future feels impossible to predict, she holds onto her faith and trusts God through every unknown. 💚🙏
