Firefighter Samuel Skelton was holding his 22-month-old son, Knox, outside a shopping center in Gainesville, Georgia, when an SUV reportedly jumped a curb and struck them both.

Knox was rushed to a children’s hospital in Atlanta, but despite the efforts of first responders and doctors, the little boy tragically died from his injuries. He would have celebrated his second birthday in just a few months. 🕊️

💔 Please Pray for Declan and His Family

After years of clear scans and hoping cancer was finally behind them, Declan’s family has received heartbreaking news: his cancer has returned, with three spots found in his brain.

The family will remain at St. Jude for further testing, including an MRI of his spine and a spinal fluid test to determine whether the cancer has spread. They will meet with his oncologist to discuss the next steps in his treatment. 🙏

His family is devastated, but they are determined to stand beside Declan and fight with him every step of the way. They are asking for prayers for healing, strength, encouraging test results, and another miracle.

For these families, Halloween wasn’t celebrated at home—it happened inside the NICU. But thanks to the caring hospital team, these tiny babies still got to experience a little holiday magic.

A heartbreaking Alabama case is drawing attention after a 12-year-old girl with cerebral palsy died under circumstances authorities describe as severe neglect. 💔

Mya Bell Christopher was found dead inside her Gadsden home on June 17, 2026. Police initially responded to what was believed to be an apparent natural death, but investigators later opened a homicide investigation.

Mya depended on others for her daily care and used a specialized wheelchair and feeding tube. According to testimony reported in court, investigators found signs of serious neglect, and Mya weighed only 32 pounds when she died.

An autopsy reportedly determined that Mya died from sepsis associated with severe neglect. She was also suffering from pneumonia.

Her mother, 35-year-old Leslie Denise Wilson, has been charged with murder. Prosecutors allege that Mya was not provided with adequate food and care during the weeks before her death. A judge denied Wilson’s request for bond.

Those who knew Mya remember her for the things that made her happy. She loved coloring, saltwater swimming and children’s songs, including “The Wheels on the Bus.” She had celebrated her 12th birthday just three months before her death.

Mya was laid to rest after a celebration of life on June 27. 🕊️💔

A heartbreaking case in South Carolina has left a family and community mourning the deaths of two very young sisters. 💔

Emory Deacon, 2, and her 15-month-old sister, Harlow Deacon, were found dead inside their Ladson home on September 29 during a welfare check. The Charleston County Coroner ruled both deaths homicides, with authorities alleging that the girls died from starvation and dehydration related to neglect.

Their mother, 31-year-old Justine Marie May, has been charged with two counts of homicide by child abuse. She remains in custody without bond, and the case is still under investigation.

According to court documents, May allegedly told investigators that she had been in a “blur” for roughly two weeks and could not remember the last time she had given her daughters food or something to drink.

Authorities said deputies had responded to the residence 13 times beginning in August, including welfare checks and interactions involving social services and a mental-health crisis unit. Family members had also reportedly raised concerns about the children’s well-being.

Loved ones remember Emory as a joyful, free-spirited little girl and Harlow as a happy baby who loved giving kisses. The sisters enjoyed music, dancing, laughter, “Bluey” and “Ms. Rachel.”

Their lives were far too short, but their family hopes they will be remembered for the happiness and love they brought to those around them. 🕊️💔

A Wisconsin family is mourning the heartbreaking loss of a beloved father of four after he collapsed near the finish of a half-marathon. 💔

John Meise, 36, of Waukesha, was running in the Milwaukee Lakefront Half Marathon on October 4 when he collapsed near mile 13. He was rushed to Froedtert Hospital, where he later died.

John leaves behind his wife, Lauren, and their four children—Mason, 11, Owen, 8, Lucy, 4, and Isla, just 1 year old.

Friends and family are remembering John for the love he gave to his family and the impact he had on those around him. His sudden death has left those who knew him struggling to understand a loss that came without warning.

Officials said there was no known medical history publicly identified at the time, and the cause of death had not yet been determined. The medical examiner is investigating.

The Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon organizers said they believed this was the first death connected to the event in its 44-year history. Thousands of runners took part that day.

New Details Emerge in Texas Family Stabbing Case

Newly released court documents are shedding light on the events surrounding the alleged stabbing of a Texas father and his two young children.

Holly Leeann Flores, 37, was arrested after police responded to the family’s Northlake home. According to the arrest affidavit, her husband told investigators that he had noticed significant changes in her behavior and that she had reportedly been experiencing postpartum depression.

Authorities allege that an argument took place after a kitchen knife was discovered in the bedroom. Later, after hearing the children crying, the father reportedly encountered Flores holding the knife and was allegedly attacked before he managed to take the weapon away.

Police then discovered the two children with serious injuries inside the home. Both survived and are expected to recover.

The affidavit also states that Flores allegedly expressed suicidal thoughts while being transported for medical treatment. Authorities say she later requested an attorney when investigators attempted to question her.

Police had reportedly responded to the family’s address several times since March over welfare-related concerns, although the circumstances of those earlier calls have not been fully disclosed.

Flores faces charges including two counts of attempted capital murder involving children under 10 and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Authorities have not established that postpartum depression caused the alleged attack. The investigation remains ongoing as officials work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
