In 1972, shortly after the enactment of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, Organization Resources Counselors, Inc., the corporate entity originally known as ORC, established its flagship Occupational Safety and Health Group to facilitate industry understanding of and input into governmental occupational safety, health, and environmental policy and regulatory decision-making. Since tha

t time, 8 additional health, safety and environmental networks have been created, with a membership today of more than 110 leading global businesses in 20 industry sectors. The ORC network model has been built upon the premise that member value is maximized by capturing and sharing effective practices and lessons learned across industries. ORC was acquired by Mercer in 2010 and ORC HSE Strategies, LLC, was created as an independent business entity in a management buyout of the occupational safety and health and environmental network business in January 2014.
