Baby Lumi!

Lumi had his first professional grooming and boy is he handsome 🤩

Lumi has presented a few challenges for his owners and we are working closely together to navigate his needs with his owners to ensure their success 💕 They have been INCREDIBLE every step of the way and we make sure we are here to support their success!

🐾 Guardian Home Opportunity for Fisher 🐾

We are looking for the perfect guardian home for our sweet boy, Fisher, a 2-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Fisher is truly such a lovable little guy, and we’re hoping to find a home where he can be someone’s constant companion. ❤️

About Fisher:

* Incredibly snuggly and affectionate — he loves being right by your side
* Excellent leash manners
* Not a runner or door-dasher
* Small, convenient size for traveling and adventures
* Excellent with kenneling
* Loves being included and being close to his people
* Loves being around other dogs but is incredibly socially awkward and has been since day 1 🤣
*Incredibly gentle with kids, he would love to be someone’s bestie!

A few things to know:
Fisher can be very vocal when he gets excited or knows something is happening — especially if he thinks he’s going for a ride or getting to do something fun. 😂 He is not a nuisance/nonsense barker, but he definitely likes to announce his excitement during transitions!

Because Fisher is currently intact, his guardian family will need to use a belly band as needed for potty/marking reinforcement.

Fisher will also need to be available for us to pick him up for a few planned dates with his girlfriend this fall. ❤️ Once his breeding commitments are complete, he will be neutered and will continue living permanently with his guardian family.

He is a Cavalier, so regular professional grooming appointments will also need to be maintained. He is currently on a 6-8 week schedule.

Our ideal guardian home is looking for a wonderful companion first and understands that Fisher will remain part of our breeding program for a short period before retiring no later than June 2027. We want a family who will absolutely adore him, include him in everyday life, and give him the permanent home he deserves.

🐾 SOCIALIZATION IS SO MUCH MORE THAN PLAYING WITH OTHER DOGS! 🐾

When we say our Tuesday + Thursday Puppy Day Training provides opportunities for socialization, we aren’t just talking about puppy playgroups.

Good puppy socialization can include:

🐶 Appropriate, carefully matched interactions with other dogs
👋 Seeing and interacting with different types of people
🔊 New sounds, noises and movement
👃 Different smells
🪵 Walking across unfamiliar surfaces and textures
🛒 Novel objects and equipment
🏢 Experiencing different environments
✋ Handling, grooming and cooperative-care practice
🐴 Learning to exist around other animals
👀 Watching exciting things without needing to interact with them
🧠 Practicing focus, recovery and settling when the world gets interesting

That’s a big part of what we can work on during Tiny Tails Puppy Day Training every Tuesday + Thursday at The Better Companion.

Day Training is not an all-day puppy free-for-all. It’s a trainer-led day built around training sessions, enrichment, appropriate supervised social opportunities, new experiences, confidence building and planned kennel/rest time.

And importantly — there is NO weekly attendance requirement.

Come every week.
Come occasionally.
Use us when your puppy could benefit from a structured training day.
Mix Day Training in alongside Puppy Preschool/Kindergarten or your training at home.

We want this to be another tool in your puppy-raising toolbox, not another weekly commitment you have to squeeze into your schedule.

Puppies should be social/tolerant with other dogs as appropriate for their age, current on age-appropriate vaccines, and able to participate safely in our structured day-training environment.

It’s hard to believe another year has flown by! We hope each of you has had a year full of adventures, belly rubs, treats, and all the love your families can give.

Watching our puppies grow into such wonderful companions is one of the greatest joys of breeding. We are so grateful to each family who has loved, cared for, and spoiled these sweet pups over the years!

Happy Birthday to each and every one of Oakley and Sunny’s 2022 babies. It’s been such a joy watching you grow from tiny, playful puppies into your own unique, loved family members. We hope you’ve been spoiled with extra treats, belly rubs, adventures, and all the love you deserve.
