Tuesday Tip: Following Through with Feedback

Feedback is essential for growth and improvement, but it's what you do with that feedback that truly matters. To ensure you follow through effectively:

1️⃣ Acknowledge and Reflect: When receiving feedback, take the time to acknowledge it and reflect on its validity. Consider the source, the context, and the underlying reasons behind the feedback.

2️⃣ Create an Action Plan: Based on the feedback received, identify specific actions you can take to address any areas for improvement or capitalize on strengths. Set clear, achievable goals and timelines for implementation.

3️⃣ Seek Support and Accountability: Don't go it alone. Engage colleagues, mentors, or coaches to support you in implementing your action plan. Having someone to hold you accountable can help ensure follow-through.

4️⃣ Measure Progress: Regularly review your progress against your action plan. Are you making strides towards your goals? Are there any adjustments needed along the way? Use data and feedback to track your progress objectively.

5️⃣ Celebrate Successes and Learn from Setbacks: Celebrate milestones and successes along the way, no matter how small. And don't be discouraged by setbacks; use them as learning opportunities to refine your approach and continue growing.

Just returned from Lake Oconee Georgia on a quick turnaround business trip. I was in the hotel room just long enough to get some work in and sleep, but paused a moment to take these pictures from the room. It was a beautiful place; may have to go back someday and spend a little more time there!

Art of the Brew completely sold out and we had a great time supporting the Parrish Art Museum and local businesses. Thank you to fellow business council members and the staff for the planning and ex*****on of this fantastic event. And a big thank you to our participating breweries; Twin Fork Brew Company (Riverhead), Kidd Squid Brewing Co (Sag Harbor), übergeek (Riverhead), Springs Brewery (Springs), Moriches Field Brewing Company (Center Moriches), Blue Point Brewing Company (Patchogue), Long Island Farm Brewery (Manorville), and Montauk Brewing Company (Montauk).

Thank you to Wölffer Estate for their Spring in a Bottle, a sparkling nonalcoholic rosé and Top Hop Half Pint tap truck, a three-wheeled Piaggio Ape Classic imported from Italy, that filled glasses with some of Blue Point Brewing Company’s top-quality draft beers!
