ATTENTION RIVER POINTE RESIDENTS

Teamwork in action thanks to the keen eye of a River Pointe resident, a quick response from one of our security team, and a response from the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department - 3 teenagers were observed in the pool area at approximately 9:00 PM and at least 1 of the individuals was seen throwing the pool furniture into the pool.

All 3 were identified and questioned by our security officer and subsequently turned over to the responding Sheriff's Dept. Deputy.

Contact was made with each of the teen's parents by the responding deputy and they were then released into their parents' custody.

River Park Info & FAQ:

We have noticed a lot of talk about what is and is not legal along the River Trail & River Park.

Here are some FAQ we get & the answers to them:

1. Coal fires & open fires (this includes webers) are NOT legal at any time.

2. All cooking fires MUST be contained to the designated BBQ pits inside the park. There should be no fires along the trail.

3. The trail is closed at the same time as the park. People should not be on the trail after 10:00PM.

4. Our security company has jurisdiction inside both River Pointe Sub-Division through the contract with the HOA & the River Park/River Trail through the contract with the City of Waterford.

5. Camping is illegal along the entire trail system.

6. You may call our on-call supervisor line 24-7 to report issues or concerns with the River Trail or the Park. You can also contact the Sheriffs Department.

7. You should always call 911 if you feel immediately threatened or there is a life/medical emergency underway.

TSS On-Call Supervisors Line: 1-209-573-0867
Non-Emergency Dispatch for the Sheriffs Dept. Line: 1-209-552-2472.

Again for all Emergencies you should dial 911.

A reminder that neither Security or Law Enforcement can be everywhere at all times. (And in Security's case neither the River Pointe HOA or the City of Waterford contract is to be present 24 hours a day - However we are on call to both contracts 24 hours a day. We are present 7 days a week and almost always exceed our minimum contracted hours on site for both contracts.) If you see something - say something. Report concerns so we can adjust our operations to meet the needs of the moment and utilize resources as practicable as possible to better serve you and your community. As a security team we cannot fix problems we do not know exist.

Also a good reminder that we are not the police, but we are trained in observers & will when nessessary utilize our powers, as your agents, to trespass malicious unwelcome individuals & conduct citizens arrests under the law when appropriate. We will and have reported & referred illegal behavior or malicious actions within the HOA to your management company & your board for further action.

We hope this will be helpful information for you.

***ATTENTION RIVERPOINTE RESIDENTS***
Good Evening Riverpointe Residents.

For those who are unfamiliar with me, my name is Sgt. German. I am the operations supervisor for Tuolumne Security Service (TSS)

At 12:15 AM on the morning of August 4th, 2022, a group of 4 juveniles were observed by the security camera in the community pool area. These subjects had thrown the pool furniture and umbrellas into the pool and then exited the pool area via the park side gate.

Our patrol officer was conducting rounds in the Riverpointe community during this time and arrived at the main park/pool area at approximately 12:19 AM, 4 minutes after the act had taken place. The officer observed the individuals in the park area as he arrived.

As the officer began to conduct his patrol of the pool area via the gate on Rivercrest Drive, the subjects began to leave the park area. Our officer immediately moved to make contact with the subjects and advise them that both areas were closed as of 9:00PM. While the officer had not seen what had happened 4 minutes prior to his arrival he was able to make an immediate visual identification of 2 of the male subjects that were observed by the security camera.

In working with HOA board personnel, TSS was able to confirm the identity of the female subject and a tentative identification was made on the 3rd male subject. Due to the fact that all the subjects are minors, TSS will not post names/photos of them on social media. All that we can confirm is that 2 of the subjects are residents of the Riverpointe community.

An incident report has been filed by our patrol officer and TSS is looking into the legality of criminal trespass warnings being issued for the common areas such as the parks and pool area.

I hope this answers any questions as to the whereabouts of security personnel during this incident.

FIRE AT RIVER PARK: (Updated @ 7:50 PM) [Final Update]

At approximately 6:15 PM a guest at River Park reported to Security Staff on site that they could see smoke between River Park and the Waterford-Hickman Bridge.

At approximately 6:17 PM Security Staff called 911 to request immediate fire assistance. Fire quickly responded within less than 5 minutes of the call.

At approximately 6:18 PM Security made the decision to close the park and began to evacuate over 130 people from River Park.

At approximately 6:29 PM all people were safely away from a dangerous radius of the fire.

At approximately 6:45 PM River Park & parking lot was mostly evacuated. 3 fire engines, 1 sheriffs vehicle and 2 security vehicles were actively still on the scene.

We do not know how the fire started.

Fire crews have begun to clean up their work on site.

River Park has been reopened at 7:50 PM.

All further questions or inquires should be addressed to local authorities & first responders.

We also want to thank everyone at the Park who quickly and orderly followed instructions and evacuated today.

ATTENTION RIVER POINTE RESIDENTS:

We have received over half a dozen calls in the last hour about Fireworks.

Security is on-site but reports that the chain salvos of mortars & fireworks are being shot up in the vicinity of Skyline. The fireworks are not being launched or lit inside River Pointe.

A reminder that we are not law enforcement & there is nothing we can do about fireworks outside the River Pointe sub-division.

This is just an FYI that we are aware of them & acknowledge your calls to us.

ATTENTION RIVER POINTE RESIDENTS:

In response to the many of your calls yesterday & today regarding River Park: We wanted to report on River Park to make sure there is no misinformation.

Yesterday (and many instances this summer season) there were various minor incidents such as triple & double parking, parking in fire/water rescue lanes, violation of various city ordinance, arguments & minors fights, & of course valdalisem to the restroom facilities.

There were NOT any major incidents yesterday despite the increased security & law enforcement presence. Any rumors of something major happening yesterday are not accurate.

As such the City of Waterford ordered the park closed last night until further notice.

Despite the clear posted closure of the park & locked gates, hundreds of people ignored the park closure and because vehicles could not get into be park congestion of traffic occurred along appling road & 132.

As a result the City of Waterford asked us to sweep and close the park under the authority of P.C. 602 Criminal Tresspass.

As such TSS assembled security staff at around 1:30 PM & executed a sweep and forced re-closure of the park at 2:00 PM, & by 3:00 PM we had over 200 individuals leave the park with out any major incident. The park was declared clear at 3:20 PM.

Additional signs have been posted declaring the park closed. Increased patrols of the park have been ordered.

Many River Pointe residents have asked us if the River Trail is closed to Residents. The answer at this time is NO. River Pointe Residents still can access the trail from River Pointe. However the River Park is closed to all individuals.

For further Information or questions please contact Waterford City Hall during normal business hours.

Thanks,

TSS Supervisors Team

Hey Waterford, we've seen an uptick in car thefts, so here are some tips to keep your car safe:

🔒Always lock your doors
🔑Remove keys from your vehicle
🚗Close all windows when you leave
💡Park in well-lit areas
💰Remove all valuables from your car
‼️Install an alarm system if your vehicle doesn’t already have one

Attention River Pointe Residents: Racer Caught!

We were finally able to ID and encourage (safely) a racing vehicle out of the neighborhood. Said racer decided to speed off at a high rate of speed while giving the security guard the one finger salute. That was all a few seconds before an alert Sheriff Deputy caught the vehicle for apparently speeding down 132 near Tim Bell Road.

We are not about public shaming here and we are not police officers, but we are working each night to do our best to keep your neighborhood safe.

Also the lesson is don't speed/race in a neighborhood full of kids., but you also gotta watch out for that karma it does come back around.

Special thanks to the always vigilant Waterford Police Services.

Please keep reporting racers. We will do our best to ID and report them to law enforcement.

Thanks,

TSS Team
