Good morning. Unfortunately the land fill is closing at 10:00 AM today due to high winds. Trucks will run until they are full and will be working on any recovery pickups first thing in the morning. Please leave your cans out and we will get them as soon as possible. Thank you!

Land fill is closed again today due to weather. Also, Fayette transfer station followed suit as they normally do. Unfortunately this will cause delays for all routes including the cities of Clermont, Wadena and Denver. Please leave cans out we will working to recover all routes including the morning. The land fill is closed today due to high winds. Anything not picked up today will be worked on tomorrow and Monday assuming the land fill reopens. Please leave your cans out. Trucks picking trash will run until they are full this morning. Thank you

As there has been many challenges in recent months causing service delays, we are committed to return to our high standard of performance and care for all of our customers.

They Black Hawk County Land Fill is closed until at least noon today due to high winds. They will reassess the situation at noon and make a decision then on whether to stay closed the rest of the day or not. Please leave out your cans and we will get them as soon as we are able. We truly appreciate our customers and value your patience!
The recent storm knocked out our phone and internet service, and we understand how frustrating the communication delays have been. We apologize for the difficulties you may have experienced when trying to reach us.

We’re in the process of switching to a new phone system, but service has now been restored. For the time being, calls to our office will go directly to the operator, who will connect you with the right person or department.
