Pivot Employee Assistance Services Our focus is providing local and regional EAP services for companies. Employee assistance programs (EAPs) have been providing workforce support since 1917.

Originally focusing on helping employers assist workers with alcohol problems, the EAP concept evolved over the years and today’s EAP focuses on assisting companies to support and retain their employees through good times and bad. For management, that means EAP can help maximize employee productivity and minimize the rigors and costs associated with disciplining or firing, and subsequently replaci

ng and training, troubled employees. For employees, EAP’s training modules can enhance their understanding of workplace issues and its sensitive, confidential assistance through emotional upset, financial difficulties, or with problems caused by alcohol or other drug abuse can mean the difference between staying employed and termination. Pivot Employee Assistance Services was established in 1977 and is a member of the Employee Assistance Professional Association (EAPA). Pivot’s primary focus is providing professional EAP services for companies and organizations locally and regionally. Among Pivot services are employee orientation sessions, on and off-site trainings, critical incident stress debriefings, and Department of Transportation (DOT) Substance Abuse Professional Services.

Pivot at the Naturally Lewis Economic Development Conference! 🌟
Today, the Pivot team was excited to attend and table at the Naturally Lewis Economic Development Conference, joining community leaders, organizations, businesses, and changemakers who are working together to build a stronger future for Lewis County.
This year’s conference theme, “Explore. Stay. Grow.”, highlights how vibrant communities are built by creating places where people want to visit, live, work, and thrive. We were proud to share how Pivot’s prevention initiatives are helping make that vision a reality by reducing substance misuse, promoting healthy choices, empowering youth, and fostering positive community change throughout Lewis County.
Thank you to the organizers, attendees, and fellow exhibitors for the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and showcase the important work happening across the county.

Pivot employee assistant program attended two career affairs this past week. One was at Jefferson, Lewis, Boces, and the other was at the Carthage Central school District. Both were highly attended. There is hope for our future after meeting with these young people.
