Some things to think about when you are wanting to letter your vehicle. Back in the day 40 yrs ago, people had their lettering beautifully hand painted on their doors. I started doing vinyl because my handwriting skills weren’t that beautiful. I was asked to put new lettering in some old trucks last week. Guessing the Ritzville truck had had paint on it since it was new (1975) I scrubbed and scrubbed on that trying to get the lettering off. I’m a weak old lady so it wasn’t working so well. After about an hour, I gave up and took sandpaper to it. NOT highly recommended, but I was desperate. It turned out alright. The other truck with the rust and discoloration was caused from a magnet that may have been stuck on for years. I sell a lot of magnets for peoples vehicles. People have dual uses for their vehicles and don’t want the name on the door for personal use. I don’t recommend magnets. ( my own opinion) They tend to get a speck of dust under them and fly off going down the road. You have to be very careful with a magnet if you want longevity. They must be taken off and the backs cleaned of debris and dust when you aren’t using them. Stick them to your shop fridge for storage. Keep them flat and clean. If you leave your magnets on your vehicles when they aren’t in use, the metal on your door will rust and start eating a hole in your door. Years ago, I peeled a magnet off a truck door and the door had a hole in it the size of the magnet. It was a mess. I couldn’t letter over that. Just some thought for you to ponder. 😉

Did you know Mansfield has a new Ice Skating Rink? It took a lot of businesses, clubs, and community members to make this happen. Some of my favorite memories growing up were ice skating at the tennis court in Almira and on the ponds behind the farm. I hope lots of Mansfield kids get ice skates for Christmas this year.

Now to get the Grand Opening scheduled…

Come on in and see us in the mean time. We never closed, livestock and pets don’t seem to allow for that 😅 We have everything almost organized, and shopable, with new items coming in.
